Stayed in other similar boutique hotels in this St. Germaine area of Paris before on past trips. My La Perle room & size was better than I expected and was ready for me when I checked I early from an overnight flight...such a bonus! The area/location is fantastic, which I knew it would be when I booked. Here is the rub.....great room & location, but my room was on the 1st floor and on the street (which has an active bar across the street where revelers smoke & talk/enjoy life) and was across from the elevator door that squeaks when it opens & closes starting at around 6am (initially thought it was a small dog barking periodically). After the 3rd night, I was ready to check out and sleep a solid night at my next hotel in Madrid despite the comfortable room, pillows, matress, bathroom....

In fairness to the hotel, I did not mention these issues at check out. Perhaps a lube job will take care of the squeaking elevator doors?

There are many great & affordable restaurants just around the corner from this hotel....also bank machines, shopping, Metro stops....everything! So, maybe just bring ear plugs? I will probably choose this hotel again, but will bring ear plugs.

Room Tip: Room away from street & elevators.

We were four "couples" of mother-teenager, travelling together as a group. La Perle organized transport for us, from Orly to the hotel, and it worked out perfectly. The hotel has a nice location, and there are several nice restaurants nearby. A nice short morningwalk to the Louvre and to shoppingareas nearby. The undergroundstation very close, if you want to visit i.e. the Eiffel Tower.
The hotellobby and breakfastarea is small, but very clean and has a nice athmosphere. The staff in the receptiondesk is helpful and friendly. The rooms are small, but clean and "new". The bathrooms are newly redecorated and delicate, and so are the rooms. The bed was very good, and we had three good nights sleep when we stayed at La Perle. Ask for a room towards the backyard, and you will sleep quiet :) The breakfast was simple, but nice.
All in all a very good place to stay in Paris. Nice, safe and central location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room towards the backyard

Cute little hotel in a lively area. Rooms are status quo Parisian, i.e. nicely appointed but tiny. Its very clean and well located - perfect for a quick stop in Paris but would probably go for one of the larger rooms if the stay was for any longer than 1 or 2 nights. This is a great location if you want to be around lively cafes, bars and restaurants as other areas in Paris can be desolate in the evenings.

Following the advice of other Trip Advisor reviewers, we booked a renovated executive double room overlooking the courtyard for our six-night stay. The bathroom was elegant with a large vanity that accommodated everything that we needed. The lighted magnifying mirror over the sink was especially appreciated. The room was large with a couch and coffee table and there was lots of drawer and closet space with a full-length mirror on the sliding closet doors. The wifi was not only free but easy to use. Lydia was a charming and helpful hostess who gave us great directions and assistance. The location of the hotel near St. Suplice and the Jardin Luxembourg in St. Germain des Pres and close to the bus and Metro stops was ideal. The streets were lively and fun at night, but our room overlooking the courtyard was quiet. There were many bistros in the neighborhood. We had a delightful stay.

We spent four nights at this boutique hotel in the back streets of Saint Germain de Pres. The room (28) was quite spacious for Paris (larger than at the Lutecia and half the price). Continental breakfast was included and could be delivered to the room or taken in the light, modern and pretty coffee bar area.

The staff are professional and helpful...all speak English well and are happy to recommend local restaurants and sites. The chamber maids were happy to clean the room when we wanted them to....you just needed to ask them.

The room faced the narrow road but was quiet. The bathroom (with a bath!) was adequate and had a seperate toilet. The double bed was comfortable and had two single douves. The airconditioning/heating worked well.

The clientelle were mostly French and American. We encountered no children.

This is a comfortable little gem of a hotel.

This boutique hotel is perfectly situated among the pretty winding streets of st Germain, and only a few mins walk to the Seine, the MuseeD'Orsay, the Louvre etc. there are numerous restaurants nearby with good food and Plats Du Jour at reasonable prices.
The rooms are lovely- small, as you expect in Paris- but beautifully furnished, and the staff are great. Lots of little kindnesses were shown to us and they speak excellent English. We would certainly return.

The room was clean and spacious for our needs. The staff was fantastic. They spoke English well enough to communicate and were very helpfull with directions etc.. The area was the heart of Paris. <Many Restyurants and only about 10 to 20 walk to the major Paris attractions
