We stayed at the Lenox Montparnasse for three nights, September 13th-16th, 2013 and were happy with our choice. The room was ready when we arrived, and we had been given an upgrade because we booked directly with the hotel. Staff were efficient and helpful, suggesting local restaurants, calling for dinner reservations and taxis etc. Due to the suggestion and able direction of the manager, we braved the complexities of the Metro system and saved our walking legs, arriving and returning from our destination safely. The honesty bar and complimentary tea/coffee in the comfortable lounge were welcome after a hard day of touring.

Room Tip: Our room was on the back side on the first floor, overlooking the courtyard -- an easy walk up the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator, and very quiet.

We booked directly on the hotel website and confirmation was almost instant.

Montparnasse is a nice and safe area of Paris and not over crowded with tourists. Good location to catch a glimpse of everyday middle class Parisian life. The nearby Metro stations make it easy to get around.

I particularly liked the Nespresso machine in our room. Makes me feel at home.

Breakfast is of a good standard though 18 Euro is a bit more expensive than a single course breakfast at one of the many nearby cafes.

Everything worked in our room (junior suite) and it's of reasonable size.

My only complaint is the Montparnasse – Bienvenüe Metro Station. It is HUGE and confusing. Changing lines can take up to 10 minutes for a slow walker.

This would get a better rating but for a little shabbiness (peeling paint, lots of scratches etc) in both public areas and rooms. Otherwise this remains one of our favourite Paris hotels for the combination of location and relaxed, friendly, helpful staff.
One of the few places in central Paris where you can find street parking reasonably easily. Quiet street, despite proximity to Montparnasse and its famous cafes (Le Dome is on the corner!)
Fast free internet, bed a touch soft for my aging bones.

We are moving to Bordeaux, and choose to spend a few days in Paris prior to taking the TGV to Bordeaux. Our train leaves from the Montparnasse Gare, so we wished to be close. This hotel had some good reviews and seemed to be in a nice location. Upon arrival, we found that we had made a good choice. The surrounding area is very residential and safe. There is a tremendous amount and variety of restaurants in the area from Thai to Italian, and everything in-between. The French Brasseries in the area are very good. Many interesting gift and clothing shops NOT aimed at the tourist. As to a hotel, while the room is a bit small by U.S. standards it fine for a couple staying a few days. The staff is superb. Seems like they were all trained at the Ritz Carlton and then decided to move here. Wonderful people. They are most helpful and if your French is a bit fuzzy, they all speak English very well. In addition, the staff speaks Italian, Spanish, Turkish, and many other languages. While the 15th AR is not generally sought after as a place to stay, it is actually very close to many of the most important places to visit. We walked from the hotel to Notre Dame and back with no problems. Tomorrow, Eiffel tower, etc. You will not be sorry is you choose this hotel or this AR. Many live theaters as well as cinemas.

Room Tip: We like a room in the back for quietness, but this is not a busy street so even in the front is is quiet.

This is not the cheapest hotel in Paris, but it is still affordable.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is in very good order and stylishly furnished. My suite on the 6th floor was very well appointed, beautifully clean and very spacious. The aircon worked well and was almost silent.

Everything had character and felt Parisian rather than just like any hotel anywhere in the world.

I will certainly stay here again, both for the hotel and also because it is in a lovely little neighborhood that is also really nice.

Room Tip: I was on the 6th floor and found it very quiet for central Paris.
