“Lovely, lovely, lovely.”
Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

My husband recently surprised me with a 3 night break at the Hotel Lenox. It was lovely, ok, let's be honest here, compact and bijou but perfectly formed. Extremely clean and very friendly. The night receptionist Clement was a real treasure. Centrally located with the metro just a minutes walk away. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! If you don't want to stay in a soulless chain hotel then this is the place for you....

This was our hotel for my inlaws last night in Paris. Extremely helpful staff all spoke excellent english and answered all our questions. Rooms were facing the street on the second floor and were-quiet, well appointed and very nice shower/bathrooms. Great lighting. Beds were very comfortable. Tasteful decorations. The only suggestion is would be great to have a door stop as doors were very heavy and was difficult to exit with luggage. Elevator typical size for France but very nice. Breakfast was good. Coffee was made American style. LOVED the honor bar in the pm and free coffee, tea. Neighborhood had some road construction but we heard none of it. I would recommend this hotel.

I have never been to paris, as a fifty year old widow, i came to get engaged, my partner has just had six months of treatment for cancer. we found the hotel beautiful, small but clean, staff spoke good english and were very pleasant. It was a lovely time.

Room Tip: we had a club room and it was pretty and comfortable but there are bigger rooms.

Stayed here for my first visit to Paris. Great central location, good value and love the honesty bar concept. There are plenty of cages within a stones throw to ponder out for breakfast and the two local metro stops to get out and about. The Luxembourg Gardens are a short stroll away to spend a few hours in some peaceful surroundings.
My room was at the front of the hotel and was perfect to watch the world go by... The noise levels are the same as any city. All the facilities are basic in the room, but of good quality to get by on a short break and Wi-Fi is free.

Stayed for a long weekend from East Coast which was perfect for my purposes.  Location is decent for the price.  Easy to get to from the subway and within walking distance to old city Paris.  Still, you're not actually in the old city.  For that locale, you're gonna pay for it either in price or in luxury.  This spot had a reasonable blend.  The room is not "luxury" but it's comfortable.  As much as staying in a room basically big enough for a bed can be.  Very European...if you want big showers, stay at the Marriott.

The front desk service is cheerful and bilingual, not that you're gonna need much service.  One of the biggest positives was the honor bar in the lobby.  Our group took a corner of the empty bar one night and had hours of great, unhurried conversation late into the night...almost like being at home.

The biggest negative?  I forgot to actually lock the safe in my room and when I got back, I realized two $20 bills were gone in the envelope I brought.  Not all of them, just two.  Very crafty if you're an employee looking to take advantage of a stupid tourist, but definitely not cool.  I decided not to report it (after all, could I really prove theft?) but I left a little note to the staff in the safe ("I know what you did last summer"-kind of note).  Hopefully will deter him/her next time.

Overall, good value.  Just lock your safe!

Amazing little hotel! Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel as it was the best deal on eurostar website and had good reviews and we weren't disappointed! The rooms are a little bit on the small side but they are amble size for a holiday and can't really complain! The people on the desk were always very friendly the gentleman at night was enthusiastic and helped us with our attempts at french. The hotel has free wi-fi which is brilliant to help avoid roaming charges and plan your next day. We didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that, but you are really close to local Metro station which go every way you want. Also a lot of very nice restaurants very close all of which have a fascinating history!
All in all we highly recommend this hotel and will be returning on our next trip to Paris!

Room Tip: Don't have breakfast there, try the creperies nearby!
