“Beautiful Hotel & Great Location!”
Reviewed January 22, 2011

The Hotel de Latour Maubourg is a charming hotel from which to base any visit to Paris. The Eiffel Tower is only a short walk and the Metro station is literally outside the front door - a real bonus when navigating a very snowy Paris. The staff were more than helpful with restaurant recommendations and helping us deal with cancelled dinner reservations because of the unexpected heavy snowfall.

One point - our standard room was located on the ground floor behind the reception desk. Despite a double set of doors it was still quite loud. As it is a small hotel foot traffic is relatively light but the room was not as peaceful/romantic as other rooms would be. For example, my parents stayed in an upgraded room on the first floor and it was beautiful...and quiet! Just be aware and if concerned mention it at booking.

Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay in a good hotel!

This hotel is situated in the elegant 7th arrondissement, walking distance from Pont Alexandre, le tour Eiffel, Grand Palais (Monet exposition), Musee d'Orsay, Le Bon Marche and Boulevard St Germain (le shopping) and some of the best restaurants and cafes in Paris (Costes l'Esplanade on corner). That's marvellous enough but in addition this is a little gem of a hotel with wonderful wonderful staff.
We had a lovely experience staying here where the attention to guests is outstanding. Roberta and the girls booked restaurants, organised taxi/transfers, even managed to get the best seats organised for us to attend a classical concert in la Salle Pleyel.
I would recommend Hotel Latour Maubourg unreservedly and look forward to returning with my daughters. The rooms sur la rue look particularly inviting although the classic rooms offer fantastic value.

I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Paris. I have been to several similarly-priced hotels, but this one has more to offer. Breakfast was way above average, the service was very welcoming and makes you feel at home. some people commented on the size of the room. we had the classic room, it was very tastefully furnished and of course was not huge but definitely large enough for a leisure stay. more importantly it was very clean and well equipped. i will be returning to la tour maubourg!

My husband, who is deployed, and I were able to spend some very special time together over the holidays - one of our stops was in Paris for New Year's Ever ~ I booked Hotel de Latour-Maubourg after reading some reviews - it seemed nice, they responded quickly and professionally, but you just never know. We were absolutely delighted when we arrived at our hotel - it was PERFECT - they upgraded us to a deluxe suite at no additional charge, the staff was welcoming, helpful, gracious. The location was perfect for us - across the street literally from the metro line that went every place that we wanted to go ~ very safe area, amazing restraurant right next door. We had a little trouble parking - there isn't a garage necessarily close, but we finally lucked out and parked right across the street - it's a little bit of trouble because the meters have to be "fed" every 4 hours, but we took the metro to wherever, came home for the meter and to refresh, and were gone again! Finally on the weekend the meter is off and you can park for free.
The hotel room itself was great, the bed was amazing, sweet continental breakfast which was great ~ they left us goodies and a bottle of champagne with their label on New Year's Eve - we thought that was such a sweet touch!
About 5 block very easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, across the street from the Invalides where Napoleon is buried, and a very easy metro ride to anything else.
I would definitely recommend this sweet little hotel if you are looking for a romantic but safe place to call home while in Paris!

So many people in Paris hotel reviews note the small room sizes. We stayed with a 3yr old and a 10 month old in a deluxe room. There was enough room for them to run around! The staff were all helpful and accomodating, all so pleasant. The location is next to the Metro, but we walked everywhere, about 15-20 minutes to most sites. A lovely personal hotel, and would stay here again without any doubts.

We found this hotel ourselves through trip advisor and before we even arrived the help we were given in organising transfers etc was excellent. The attention to detail in sending our request for the colour of our rose in the room and our choice of morning papers before we arrived was a lovely touch, making us feel very welcome. Upon arrival we discovered we had been given a complimentary upgrade to the Napoleon Suite which literally took our breath away. The decor was tasteful and traditional adding to the overall age of the property. Our son at 15 months was very comfortable in his cot and had more than enough space to play and crawl around. The roll top bath was a particular enjoyment of my husband who spent much time indulging each morning. The breakfast was as you would expect and served in our rooms for our additional comfort. The porter was only too pleased to bring warm milk at 5am when our son woke and their help in navigating around Paris was much appreciated. Overall i have no complaint as all staff we encountered were very friendly and helped make our stay more pleasant than we anticipated. Our thanks particularly to Sofia who was most helpful throughout and even looked after our son briefly while we got bags sorted. We will definately return to this hotel when we stay in Paris again as the location alone is superb just a stones through from the Champs Elysee and Eiffel Tower and the view from our room of the Hotel des Invalides. Will never stay anywhere else.

I booked this hotel because I wanted somewhere where we could relax as well as a base to go sightseeing from. I paid more than I usually would for a hotel because I expected leisure facilities. There was no hammam, there was a small sauna without any shower facilities so if we had used it we would have had to go through the whole hotel and passed the reception in a robe to get back to our room to have a shower. There were two pieces of cheap ineffective gym equipment which couldn't be used as they were in no more space than a cupboard. The bedroom was well fitted but really was a single room not a twin and without a proper wardrobe. As I was staying with my daughter it wasn't a problem that there were 2 small single beds pushed together (there was no room for them not to be) but I wouldn't have been happy if I were travelling with a friend. The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were lovely and very helpful at all times.
