“Good hotel let down by bed”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Hotel is very well located, just yards from metro and close to rue de clue street with nice restaurants and food shopping. eating is good in area close to hotel - some very top end restaurants are also close by. Hotel itself is also very nice amd staff are friendly and helpful. Room itself was small but well decorated. However, our stay was made not so comfortable by the bed. I asked for a king. We got two singles pushed together - que waking up in the night falling down the middle of the bed. If it was not for this basic error the hotel would have got 4 stars

Dear Customers,

Thank you for take your time and let us know your opinion about our hotel.

As you said we are situated in a really nice district of Paris near from all ot of differents restaurants, brasseries and cafés where you can have a good time.
We are glad to read that you liked the decoration of the room and about the bed we understand why you didn't appreciate it.
All of the rooms are not with this kind of bed and if a guest ask them a big bed we will try to give it to him. It can depends of the type of room that you booked and the availabilities.

It will be our pleasure to welcoming you again and give you a room with one big bed and not two put together.

With our best regards,
Mme. LAUFERON / The Owner

This hotel is in a perfect location for seeing the sights of Paris. It's great to be able to wander along to the Eiffel Tower or the Seine within a few minutes. There are couple of great cafes right outside the door which do a great breakfast as well as some really good places for dinner. The rooms are comfortable and very well appointed. The standards of cleanliness and service are excellent. This was our second visit to Paris and to this hotel. If we go back to Paris we'll stay there again!

my wife and i spent 7 nights here for our first trip to paris. i surprised my wife with the trip and wanted the hotel to be part of the paris experience and hotel maubourg did not disappoint. it is very french and tres chic in a quaint way and my wife was thrilled with the room, the bath and the decor. she really felt that she was in paris when we were in the room. staff were friendly, bedroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, the ensuite bath was a highlight for my wife and we made use of it daily after many kilometres of walking the surrounding streets.
i selected HM on location and trip advisor reviews, and i am very happy with my decision - HM is really well located with most of the major must see sites within a 3 km radius - but you are also living amongst everyday parisians going about their business and the shops, cafes and markets close by all made us feel we were embedded in the real paris. it was great to just walk the streets on the way to a site and soak up the local ambience. having said that, the hotel is in a quiet little street between two major boulevards and when in the room you could not hear outside noise atl - the double glazing helped with that. we have great memories of our trip to paris and HM contributes to them significantly. i would not hesitate to recommend HM to couples looking for the things described above.

Even the upgraded rooms are small, but well appointed and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. The staff is friendly but cannot always provide accurate information. The continental breakfast is very generous and tasty! The location, near the Invalidies, is very convenient for buses, train. And tour buses.

Dear customers,

We would like to thank you for your review, we are pleased to read you appreciate the location of the hotel and our continental breakfast.
We would like to precise the hotel de latour maubourg in an "hotel particulier" built during the haussmanian period, we had to respect the area and that's why the rooms are small but charming.
During your stay, we do our possible to help our guest with some advises to visit Paris.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in a near future.

And great WiFi!
My husband and I stayed here during a trip for our tenth anniversary and it was great. The location is great, in a residential tres Parisian neighborhood in the 7th eme, with a good Metro stop across the street, an RER station within walking distance, and the Air France busses to the airport within a few blocks. There is a decent cafe next door and lots of great food in the neighborhood along with pharmacies, tabac shops (to buy Metro tickets) and anything you might need. The only not great thing that happened was that we got wrong RER directions from someone there, but someone helped us at the station. A great hotel, and I highly recommend!

We stayed four nights at Hotel de Latour Maubourg and were very pleased. The location is perfect with the metro right across the street (and a cab stand) and is also in walking distance for many of the sights. The area was very pretty and quiet, without much tourist traffic. The room was small, which was expected, but was nicely decorated and clean. At night, I particularly liked how the entrance way was lined with candles. You had to leave the key at the front desk when you left the hotel, which we didn't mind, and if you think of it, any hotel you stay in has a master key, so we weren't concerned about our things and it was one less thing for us to worry about when we were out. We stayed in room 14 which didn't have a view but we didn't mind - the only time we were in the room was to sleep. We didn't have a breakfast package as part of our stay - we just went to the cafe on the corner. As one of the other reviewers noted, it was not easy to find the hotel. There is a little sign (and we walked the wrong direction out of the metro station), so be sure you have your bearings and really really specific directions when you are arriving. We would certainly return to Hotel de Latour Maubourg.
