Hotel de Latour Maubourg
Ranked #596 of 1,809 Hotels in Paris

Reviewed January 4, 2013

Stayed at Hotel de Latour-Maubourg for our long weekend in Paris & would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable boutique hotel that's in the perfect location

Not your generic large company boxy hotel chain, this is more of an intimate boutique type hotel with rich woods and mirrors at the entrance, soft lighting & a an incredibly welcoming staff.....which was just what we were looking for, to immerse ourselves in the city

The hotel is directly across the street from the La Tour Maubourg Metro station & you're within walking distance to la Tour Eiffel, Hotel des Invalides, & Place de la Concorde / Louvre. This was the most perfectly situated place we could have chosen

Rooms were decorated with hearts & cupids all over the walls & ceiling, lots of rich golds & purples everywhere

Water pressure was super & their bath products were fantastically smelly

Our double room had 2 single beds pushed together - which meant 1 of us slept in the crevasse between the beds ( or maybe look on it as your opportunity to keep your distance :-) ) but they were super comfy & those comforters were wonderfully thick - so much so we had to turn the A/C way down!

Free WiFi!

Breakfast choices were standard touristy continental breakfast fare & not very appealing for us....and especially for 16€. Then again, we tend to seek out local eateries & steer clear of hotel kitchens. So if you're like us, we would recommend going across the street to Le Bistrot du 7eme, for incredibly delish omelets & lattes

FINAL NOTE: Be aware that parking is at a premium - no hotel parking & only metered street parking or at Hotel des Invalides - which ran 33€ / day ( ouch! )

Overall, this is a lovely hotel we'd definitely make it our first choice when we come back to visit

We had a lovely stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful, with in-room coffee (yea!), and the staff was very nice and helpful. The small lobby is lovely, and there's even a little gas fireplace - great for warming up in the winter upon returning to the hotel.

We were on the floor above the ground floor (called the 1st floor in France), and though I could make out the rumbling of the Metro, it was quite faint and not a problem. I could, however, hear noise from the street (traffic and talking), footsteps in the room above, and noise in the hall (talking and what I think was the elevator door slamming shut). I wore earplugs at night and slept fine, however, those who are sensitive to noise may want to consider a different hotel. Everyone else should be very happy here.

My husband and I really enjoyed our honeymoon stay at the Hotel de Latour Maubourg. The friendly staff greeted us with a 'Congratulations' on arrival and there was a bottle of champagne in the room with a sweet card from the staff. An excellent start! The classic room we had booked (number 26) was small, that is Paris for you, but it was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is beautiful and extemely well located, we walked everywhere and when the Eiffel Tower is literally around the corner it is hard to beat! We tried the hammam which was perhaps a little 'oversold' as it is a basic steam room with some oils but it was a very welcome added extra to the hotel experience. The staff are exceptional, they will help you with anything and speak fluent English (I expect they speak many other languages as well) whilst being courteous and smiling all the time. We did not try the breakfast as it felt a bit expensive (16 Euros per person) and instead went to the many cafes nearby, but I am sure it would be very well done given the high standard of the rest of the hotel amenities. Overall, we would definitely return, highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel de Latour Maubourg. We had a classic room, the care and attention given to the design and decour of the room was wonderful. Tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques and the most was made of a relatively small space, we had everything we needed. The communal spaces are a little on the small side due to the historic nature of the maison but beautifully presented. The staff could not be more helpful and spoke fluent English. The location was fantastic, situated in a beautiful part of Paris where every other building houses a cafe or artisan patiserie (therefore no need for the pricey breakfast at the hotel) and the hotel is within walking distance of all the central tourist destinations. The hotel is 1 min from the Invalidades, 10 min walk from Eiffel Tower and across the street from the Metro (although we didn't use it as we could walk everywhere we wanted to go). Staying there made our Parisian experience complete and on reflection it was good value for money, we intend to return on our next trip to Paris.

Enjoyed our 9-day stay thanks especially to attentive, friendly and highly efficient service of the staff. Our first trip to Paris and were somewhat disappointed with the size of our Superior room(no room for a bureau--lived out of luggage) but understand this is typical. Location very central and puts you in walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Tuileries, Arc de Triomphe etc.
Sylvia, who is a lovely girl running the front desk and concierge duties could not have been more helpful. Her knowledge of surroundings encyclopedic. What restaurants, attractions, metro, busses, cabs etc. etc. at her fingertips. Breakfasts are first-rate. Let the cook make you an Omelette Jambon au Fromage--delicious!!
Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Stay first floor and don't miss breakfast(16 euros/day per person)

This is a quality boutique hotel, in a fantastic location, across from Paris' heart and right in front of the Tour Maubourg Metro station.
Negative experience: I arrived at 12:00 and had a meeting at 1:00PM, but the room wasn't ready. I had to upgrade to a beautiful room. The staff was very friendly and really tried to help. They were attentive and courteous. The owner deducted a great deal from the upgrade to accommodate me. Overall, I am very pleased.

Lovely hotel in a good location. We had he deluxe room whch was a bit expensive but as a first time Paris visit for my girlfriend it was worth it as you definitely knew you were in Paris.

Breakfast was nice if nothing spectacular but it was served until late which was nice if you were feeling lazy.
