The Hotel Keppler is the gold standard by which other Parisian hotels should be measured.

Our family stayed at the Hotel Keppler for over a week. We were impressed and highly recommend this excellent hotel.

Located only three blocks south of the Arc de Triomphe on a quite side street, the hotel is extraordinary from the first step inside.

This is a small, boutique hotel, not a monster chain hotel. It’s a well managed, safe hotel in a good neighborhood.

The hotel owners clearly know their craft. The hotel is in excellent condition – fresh paint and no dirt in any corner. The entire main floor public space is styled as living rooms, modern and spotless. The outside walk is scrubbed each day.

A doorman and a desk manager greet you each and every time you enter or leave. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, well appointed with comfortable bedding, appealing modern artwork, cardkey locks and adequate in size for European hotels.

There is a thermostat on the wall for individual heat and a/c control, and a flat-screen display with HD channels. In our rooms, the overhead and bedside lighting was controlled by advanced (and expensive) individual pushbutton wall dimmers. With the windows and drapes closed, the rooms are as quiet as tombs.

A number of neighborhood restaurants, a dry cleaner, and multiple ATMs are all nearby. The Champs-Elysees is a five minute walk.

Around the corner is Josephine’s bakery. The hotel recommended Le Marceau, two blocks away for first night comfort food. Two thumbs up for both establishments.

Two additional comments:

During autumn, the hotel turns off the air conditioning as the temperature drops, requiring open windows for ventilation at night. On the street side, there is an adequate breeze, but there is street noise as Paris, like NYC, operates 24 hours per day. On the four wall courtyard side, there is little or any breeze for ventilation. The hotel provides room fans.

The hotel uses Swisscom for wireless internet. This is an unsecure, unlocked wifi network. Be careful. The hotel provides logon info, but Swisscom requires frequent revalidation. During the evenings, with many rooms logged on and using an iPad, the response time was painfully slow – over a minute between web pages.

All in all, simply an outstanding hotel. We’ll definitely return to the Keppler on our next trip to Paris.

We have just returned from a few days in Paris and a fabulous stay at the Keppler.

Positive things:
1. Ideal location in the Golden Triangle - there is no better spot than this
2. 5 minutes to Metro station and Champs Elysee
3. Gorgeous decor, all newly rennovated by the look of it
4. Super comfy bed
5. Lovely spotless marble bathroom
6. Chic lounge/bar area with lovely man to mix lovely drinks
7. Super kind staff who will organise anything for you
8. Pretty darn reasonable price for luxury hotel in Paris

Negative things:
Can't think of any!

My family and I loved it and we can't wait to visit again soon. Top tip: there is a lovely little cafe 5 minutes up the road for breakfast, cakes and pastries. Its called Josephine, Avenue Marceau.

While our room was very small, it was very comfortable, well-equipped, plush and immaculate. Location is excellent.
Service was remarkably polite and pleasant. Special thank you and commendations to Shyamon De Silva and Julien, who were outstanding in their friendliness and readiness to please.

Two or three blocks from quality restaurants, night life, high end shopping, the Arc de Triomphe, George V metro but very quiet. Fashionable interior, clean rooms, great breakfast options as well. Would recommend upgrade from superior to deluxe rooms. Staff was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Hotel can never by 5 star because of small size but services are.

Booked into this hotel by a colleague on a recommendation. Well over the top boutique hotel designed for couples not business. Rooms very small, desk impossible to use a laptop on. Bed very comfy, breakfast excellent but you will pay 300 euros for 1 night. Stick to the normal biz hotels.

Dear Guest,

First of all thank you so much for having chosen our hotel with your colleagues recommendation.
We are so sorry for the small room and the office table. You must have been in our classic room, which is a bit smaller than the rest of our room types. Most of our businessmen, who book often those rooms work only on a tablet or they love to come downstairs to the glass roof lobby with their laptops. Also we have corporate rate for these rooms but due to FAIRS in Paris maybe this rate was no longer available the moment you booked.
We all wish you a wonderful autumn time.

kind regards

From the warm welcome by Philippe we knew we were going to be staying somewhere special. The hotel is a boutique hotel in a quieter street just near the Arc d'Triomphe and about a five minute walk to the Champs Elysees. We had organised an English speaking driver and car to collect us from the airport and he was very good considering the mad Paris traffic. We were in Paris for three days before continuing our trip so therefore our room 301 was smallish but sufficient for three days as we were going to be out most of the time. The hotel looks exactly like it does on the website, with a bar and lounge area just off the reception and then another lounge area complete with fire place further into the hotel. The décor is gorgeous and you feel like you are actually staying in a very luxurious home.

The bathroom had a shower above the bath and also a separate 'Wet'' area shower (ie open shower no glass or shower curtains) which we chose not to use as didn't want to get water everywhere. Robes and slippers provided and quality thick towels and amenities.

The breakfast area was warm and welcoming and it was a wonderful way to start the day sitting in this gorgeous little area and the staff were warm and welcoming. There was sufficient choices for breakfast each day and the staff always remembered what juice you liked, how and when you liked your coffee and tea which is always a nice touch.

The staff are what make this hotel special, as mentioned before Philippe was welcoming and always happy to have a chat about our day and point us in the right direction for attractions etc as it had been a few years since we were in Paris last. Simon who looked after us at the Bar - what can we say but thank you, you went over and beyond the call of duty. We had friends from Scotland who meet us in Paris, staying in another Hotel, and they came over on arrival and we had champagne and nibbles that we had brought, Simon was happy to set us up in one of the lounge areas with our own ''Verve' rather than us going up to our room and as our bottle was not overly cold from being in the minibar - he swopped it for a cold bottle he had behind the bar, popped it in a silver champagne bucket and served us. No that's service - our friends who have travelled extensively as well could not believe it. On another occasion we had brought cakes back from Ludree and they stored them in their fridge and then we had them for afternoon tea, again Simon organised crockery and napkins in the lounge with our own cakes, although this time we did have coffee and tea.

Another night we were in the bar before going out for dinner and another couple came down for drinks before heading out and wanted a wine, Simon asked them how long they were going to stay and when they said five nights recommended they buy the wine by the bottle than by the glass as it would be more economical for them that way and he would put it aside for them each night - a nice touch. It is those little touches that make a Hotel feel like a home away from home.

All in all a great three days in a wonderful hotel and one we would recommend, but if you are seeking more night life away from the tourist trap cafes etc of the Champs Elysees then this may not be for you, as its in a quiet part of the town, also would not suggest it was a hotel for families with children but for couples or business travellers its one to definitely try.
