My wife, 2 young daughters (ages 3 and 6) and I stayed at the Hotel Residence Foch for 6 nights at the end of October. The staff (primarily Chedi and Isabelle) were genuinely warm/accomodating and provided advice on transportation, local stores/restaurants, tourist traps, ect. We opted for the "Family Room" on the 1st floor which is huge by European standards. We had a full bedroom complete with a table and 3 chairs and the living room had a couch which folded into a bed - where our daughters slept. The cost of the room was EUR 250 per night which was very reasonable.

The hotel and room decor was dated, however we felt that it added to the ambiance of the Residence Foch. Our only complaint was of the shower - primarily because the shower curtains didn't contain the water and the bathroom floor would flood every time we took a shower.

We also liked that the hotel is located in a residential area with less than a 10 minute walk to the Metro. There are dozens of restaurants within a 20 minute walk plus a take-away Chinese restaurant, wine shop, cheese shop, bakery (great for morning coffee / croissant), dry-cleaner, ATM and supermarket (Carrefour) all within a short walking distance.

We booked to stay for two nights in a superior room with a balcony at the conclusion of a long holiday in France. Our room was small, particularly having two large bags with us. Decor was a little dated but adequate as we were only there for a couple of days. We were a little suprised that the balcony was basically a large window with a grill. We did not have a balcony as known in Australia. When we approached the management they explained that we had a European balcony and re adjusted the payment for the room in our favour. This was unexpected and pleasing. As the hotel is situated in a quiet street near some good restaurants and places for breakfast, we did not use the dining room. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk to the metro and we used it to visit all the sights. Overall we thought this hotel was value for money in Paris.

What a great place to stay for our 15hr stop over in Paris, the hotel is well situated in more of a residential area but close to Arc de triomphe and Champs Elysses. The staff make it a 5 star, they are attentive, caring, knowledgeable about the area. I cannot say enough about them!!
You won't be dissapointed with your stay here, it's comfortable and quaint and a true Parisian experience!!!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. It is just around the corner from the arc de triomphe so brilliant location. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a decent size for paris and good value for money, they are also very clean. If we return to paris I would definitely stay here again.

The Residence Foch was a great place to stay in a quiet part of a busy city, with comfortable beds and dark rooms, good for sleeping after busy days sightseeing in Paris and many, many miles of walking. A wonderful place to return to after long days. The hotel staff were very helpful, good English and had many great recommendations for restaurants and transportation tips. The room was rather small but the bathroom very nice size but it was very clean and we were really just there to sleep. We did not have the breakfast there but there are many options for patisseries and a nice grocery store close, to buy items to put in the refrigerator if meals were to be eaten in the room for convenience sake. We would definitely recommend this, friends traveling around the same time in Paris were in the 1st arrondisment felt it was so busy and expensive for even the basics, we felt very fortunate for all the things good about staying at this hotel, very convenient for the metro and Paris is easy to navigate on the metro.
