    a good simple hotel in a great location

    I spent one night here for a work trip- the hotel was booked for me. Very close to Notre Dame and the Seine- two stops on RER line B from Gare du Nord. My room was small by comfortable- and very quiet. Breakfast was good

    First of all, I would like to thank you very much for having taking the time to leave us a nice comment about your stay in our hotel the Mercure Paris La Sorbonne.

    We are very glad to see that you had a good stay with us and that you liked our location very close to Notre Dame and our buffet breakfast.

    All our rooms are very quiet because we are located in a small street in front of the University of La Sorbonne.

    With the RER B we have a direct access to the Gare du Nord, but also to Roissy Airport and even Orly with a connection at Denfert-Rochereau.

    We hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you back again.

    Great location; simple 4 star hotel

    The good: great location, quiet room with double pane windows, clean, attentive staff, good water pressure and heating. The bad: poor security , left my key card at the desk and then just asked for it by room number and no questions asked, tiny room ( even for Paris), extremely uncomfortable mattress but clean nice sheets, duvet and extra pillows and was not even recognized for being Platinum top elite level with Accorhotels/Mercure, no upgrade given and when asked got a street facing room but not upgrade to higher level even though hotel was empty

    We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Tripadvisor after your recent stay in our hotel.

    It is true that we have a very nice location in a typical Parisian quarter with plenty of shop and restaurants nearby. Thank you for the compliments about the quality of our staff.

    Regarding the size of the room we comply with all requirements for the 4 star classification.

    Concerning the Platinium membership we do apologies for not recognizing you. This is absolutely not normal and it does not correspond to our service.     Excellent value, great location.

    Stayed here over New Year. The location is just south of Notre Dame, with a good range of shops, sights and reasonably priced restaurants around. Room was small-ish, but with a king-size bed and a further small sofa-bed for a child. Breakfast was included in our rate ( as was an OK one-hour cruise down the Seine) and provided a great start to the day - I didn't need to eat till dinner. Not much in the way of facilities, but it doesn't pretend to offer any.

    We are well located in the very heart of Paris, within walking distance of Notre Dame, facing the University of La Sorbonne, in a very nice Parisian neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and very easy access to the main sightseeing's in Paris.
