“The best you get for this price in 3rd Arond. in Paris”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

Paris is not exactly known for its spacious rooms. Price per m2 is high. This hotel manages to offer value for money. In a room below €150 per night in Paris city center you have a big chance you will find yourself hunting down some little creatures. Not at this place.

Well maintained, mostly friendly staff and clean. The beds are nice and it is surprising how much comfort they were able to squeeze into 10m2!

Car park just a round the corner, €30 per day, that is reasonably priced (hey, I am from Amsterdam, so used to pay 40% more).

Location is nice, close to Le Marais, surrounded by locals. Did not try the breakfast, have your breakfast in one of the great little cafés in the neighborhood.

Not suitable for disabled people or families with children. Elevator is tiny, stairs are steep and dark, corridors very narrow.

Early check in was possible as soon as room is ready, they have a safe and well controlled system to drop your lugguage.

The hotel is easy to find, close to a number of Metro stations (closest I think is Files du Calvaire). Check in was very easy, though the man on the desk didn't tell us anything about breakfast (not sure if it was included or not - we ate out anyway). The lift is tiny - 1 person with luggage at a time, but still better than walking the 5 flights of stairs!

The room was nicely furnished, but tiny. The bathroom was very compact, with no shower door/curtain to stop the water escaping to the rest of the bathroom.

The room had a trouser press/iron, but ours didn't work. I went to reception to let them know, and was presented with an antique looking iron to use, not great, but better than none at all! The room also had a small mini bar, with the usual types of things - except is was actually reasonably priced for a change.

There was a safe in the room, however it wasn't attached to anything - so could actually be carried away!

The only other point to note - and this is probably due to the compact size of the entire hotel - however both days, when trying to leave our room, there were piles of bedding/towels etc. and a hoover left in the hallway, and on top of the stairs - pretty much blocking the way out.

I'd stay again, however try to get a room on a lower floor, that might have more space.

The location is great, loads of bars/restaurants within close distance.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in the first week of September and this is one hotel that I have no hesitation in recommending to visitors to Paris. It is spotlessly clean, in an ideal location not far from the Republique Metro and close to some really fantastic restaurants which wont break the bank as regards eating out! The staff were wonderful, giving us lots of useful information and even suggesting various restaurants, pubs, etc. The room was spacious enough given that Parisian hotel rooms are generally small. The shower had a really amusing sort of disco shower-head! The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything I like including an excellent wall safe, coffee making facilities etc. However as with ALL hotels in Paris if you like tea make sure you bring your own teabags! I will DEFINETLY return to this hotel whenever I visit Paris in the future. Well done to the staff and thank you for making us feel so welcome. I have already recommended your hotel to my friends since returning home!

Room Tip: If your budget can stretch to it, choose the Deluxe Double room as the extra space is well worth the...

This hotel is in a nice neighborhood with brassieres and pastisseries nearby, and is fairly central, though I would prefer an even more central location next time. About a 15 minute walk to the Hotel de Ville, mostly through different shops which sell accessories wholesale. Also in close walking distance is the Bastille and the Place des Vosges which is a wonderful place to relax with a nice baguette and cheese.
The room was very comfortable and clean. We upgraded to the largest size after reading the reviews (deluxe double - 15-16 sqm) and it was spacious enough. The bed was very comfortable, and they serve a decent breakfast downstairs.

my first time in a 3 star hotel (I usely get a 4 star) I was very pleased with this quiet and clean hotel . a hidden gem for the individual traveler in Paris; breakfast was fine in the vaulted basement in old stone ; neat and modernly decorated bedroom for a relaxed sleep

Room Tip: take a room on first floor , the elevator is very small

The hote room is clean and off a side street which makes it very quiet at night. There are several brassieres and pastisseries nearby. The hotel staff do speak English. The hotel staff are pleasant but don't expect all of them to go the extra mile for you. For example, I asked if staff if they could call a taxi. The staff member did dial the number, but stated it was busy so there were no taxis available that day. She then told me I had to walk to a taxi stand at De La Republique or take the metro. We decided to walk out to the curb and were fortunate enough to catch a taxi. There is no concierge service. The bathrooms are small, but the toilet part has a door. The good outweighs the bad, the value is good. Would stay there again.

The best thing was its location, nice cafés, market, supermarket, wine shop delis, launderette and everything is around the corner. Had a breakfast in a different cafe each morning.
The room was small as everyone mentioned but the bed was big and nice with extra blanket and pillows.
Wi-Fi was not very fast but enough to search travel info, but needed to loggin again and again once the connection had cut.

(No tea set in every room in France like most accommodation do in the UK, was a bit disappointing.)

When I arrived the only lift went out-of-order, so I had to bring my suitcase by emergency stairs. I suppose the reception clerk couldn't leave the desk but he didn't even offer me to help. I chose a 3 star hotel and paid enough to avoid this kind of hustle but failed.
The cleanliness of bathroom was poor, just bearable though there's water stains everywhere, they could clean better.
