Small but clean hotel located within 5 mins walk of the Arc De Triomphe. Rooms were small but clean and nicely decorated. Staff were courteous and on the whole pleasant. Breakfast was good although the breakfast room only has four tables. There is the option to dine in your room although I am not sure how you would manage this, the rooms were small.

If you can tolerate the small rooms (it's Paris!) then the area is very nice, the location (in terms of proximity to attractions) excellent and the hotel of a good standard.

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night break and stayed at this hotel after booking direct with the hotel and managing to secure a special offer on a superior double room with breakfast at an excellent price. This was our second trip to Paris in 4 years (2008 when we got engaged and 2012 for our 2nd wedding anniversary) and although our previous hotel was 4* and in same area we feel that the Hotel du Bois offered us much of the same benefits in respect of the area, staff and room facilities.
The staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel room that we had was clean and spacious (it was a corner room). The continetal breakfast was good although the area it was served in was rather cramped and often busy at peak times. We found the hotel really easy to find after arriving by the Air France bus at Ave Carnot just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
It was also really convenient to have a supermarket below the hotel although we did hear them opening the metal shutters at 7.15am each morning but we didn't mind this as we had slept so soundly during the night as the bed was really comfortable.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: The Superior Double room that we had was on the second floor on the corner of the hotel. Spacious a...

This is a small hotel, very nicely appointed, a stone's throw from Av. Victor Hugo and shopping, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Metro. Fast and professional service when needed. First time to Paris....it was part of a packaged self-guided Tour de France jaunt, and it was perfect!

The hotel is located in one of the most expensive and in my opinion, the least interesting quartiers of Paris. Having said that, it offers very good value for the location and the staff was friendly and helpful.

For ladies traveling for business or otherwise in rush, it is good to note that the hotel has some main clothing chains and smaller shops that can be interesting just around the corner: There is Zara, Massimo Dutti, Maje and Sandro, as well as a small branch of Sephora are just few steps are way so it is easy to avoid the hassle of having to go to the Champs Elysees to browse shops. The Monoprix supermarket next door is also very handy as it had a very good on-the-go selection of sandwitches, salads and snacks - something to keep in mind, knowing that the restaurants around the area tend to be on the pricier side.

Main sites such as Trocadero and l'Arc de Triomphe are within the walking distance. As there are steps to walk up to the restaurant and the nearest metro is a bit of a walk away I'd only recommend the hotel to those who are happy with a reasonable amount of every day exercise.

Room Tip: I stayed on the first floor corner room. I did not find it very noisy at all and apparently it was s...

We stayed in a Superior Room and were disappointed by the size. The room was spotless and I can highly recommend the breakfast. The breakfast room is small but the variety of the breakfast buffet makes up for the size. The Hotel itself is in a convenient location and there is a supermarket downstairs.Overall it is good value only downside is the small rooms though most Paris Hotel rooms are small unless you pay a premium !

I brought my fiancée here for her birthday and the hotel was lovely, not the biggest of rooms but it was all we needed. Good hot water and a decent shower!
Bit of road noise as we were on the front of the hotel, I'd ask for a room at the back next time.
Great location, so close to all the sights, easy walk to the arc du triomphe, champs d'elysees, slightly further to the eiffel tower (about 15 minutes) .
Great local restaurant on rue lauriston behind the hotel.
