“Ridiculous view!”
Reviewed April 2, 2007

I felt like I could reach right out and grab the Eiffel Tower, it was the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing twinkling as I fell asleep. The room was small, but almost spacious compared to other European hotel rooms I've stayed in. The staff was so sweet and helpful and housekeeping was quick and thorough. I will sing the Duquesne Eiffel Hotel's name as loud and far as I can!

We stayed in room 55, and had a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. The room was quite roomy by European standards, and clean as a whistle. The plasma screen TV was also a nice touch. I was quite impressed by this hotel. I wish I had booked it for my return trip to Paris instead of just one night. I highly recommend it as a splurge.

This hotel is very well located near the Eiffel Tower. In common with many hotels in Paris the rooms are small and room 12 was smaller than most in this hotel but for 1 person mainly using it to sleep in it was OK. The room itself is starting to look a little tired but the bathroom is newly refurbished and has all you need and was spotless. The hotel staff were very welcoming and were happy to speak French to me and equally happy to converse in perfect English. I noted they helped other people find restaurants and would call for them free of charge to make bookings. There is a night porter and so staying out late is not a problem. The hotel does not offer many facilities but as a central base to stay it offered a fair deal for the money. I did not try the breakfast.

Hello,

The room you booked (room 12) is a twin comfort room and it is smaller than a superior room.
Our staff is always happy to help clients, thatg's why we work in a hotel!

Thank you for your kind note and see you soon!

Best regards

Our photos were taken from room 45. Every night we watched the Eiffel Tower's light show, 10 minutes on the hour. The rooms are very comfortable, plenty of room for 2. The area felt very safe. You'll see real parisiens going about their day- not just tourists rushing to museums and monuments. We ate breakfast at the hotel and found it worthwhile. If you don't have much time in Paris, and there is so much to see, eat a quick breakfast at the hotel. For me, I needed my morning coffee before we set out. If you need to experience a cafe, have coffee, hot chocolate, or a glass of wine later in the afternoon instead. Be sure to eat dinner at Carmine's (and italian restaurant in Paris). It's just beyond the Ecole Militaire metro stop. The food, the prices, the staff - it was all a wonderful experience.
Walk to Mus. Rodin - buy your mulit-day museum pass there! It's a smaller museum = short line. You can bypass the huge lines at the Louvre, D'Orsay, most important, Versailles and at least 30 other museums around the city.
The desk staff is as friendly as everyone has described in their reviews. Extremely helpful. They made our reservations for a fashion show (Gal. Lafayette on Friday afternoon or Printemps on Sunday and maybe Tuesdays, too). For an amazing shopping experience, walk (15-20 min) to Bon Marche. There's lots of little shops in that area. It feels more authentic than the other 2 giant stores (GL & AP) and the crowds along Blvd. Haussman.
The Eiffel T is a 15 min walk. The hotel's location is great b/c you must get there early! It opens at 9:30. We left the hotel at 8:30, and had plenty of time to walk and take photos before we got in line. By 9:30 the line is sooo long.
Take a short walk to Rue St. Domanique and Rue Cler to see the shops.
From this hotel you can walk to Rue Pont de l'Alma (15-20 min). That's where you ride the Bateau Mouches. The basic ride (without dinner) is 9 euros. We rode at 6:20 (the times may change with the day). You'll get photos of the major buildings with a beautiful sunset. Later, the buildings are all lit up - so beautiful!! The whole ride is about 90 minutes.
To return to the CDG airport, the ride at 9:15am was 51 euros and took less than an hour. Ask the desk staff to book it the day before.

Good Afternoon,

One day, somebody told me that the Eiffel Tower sparkles like bubbles of champagne, I really like this image.

You are totally right about the 7th district, it is one of the safest area in Paris, around thee are a lot of ministries, embassies... So it is a quiet area but you are within walking distance of many touristic spots.

Your comments is very nice and you give a lot of details, thank you for promoting our hotel.

Best regards

This hotel was one of the best finds of our trip! We booked a "comfort room", which had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. The location was terrific.....we were able to walk everywhere from there. The service was excellent.....all the front desk people were extremely helpful and friendly.

The rooms were small, which we were expecting, but very clean. The bathroom was a good size . There were a few tiles that could use replacing/regrouting, but was very clean otherwise.

We are staying again this year in Sept and bringing relatives, so I can only hope it will still live up to our expectations and the excellent standards from last year.

Hello,

I want to specify that most of the comfort rooms don't have a view to the Eiffel tower (special note for future clients...)

Thank you for your kind note about the location, th estaff and the cleanleaness of the rooms.

I'm glad we will see you again in September.

Average size rooms for europe (will seem small for US standard rooms) but clean and comfortable. We had two rooms both were nice. The bathrooms was very clean all new tile; one had a tub/shower, the one a shower. Our rooms didn't have the view, but faced inside and were quite. I found the front desk to be very helpful with suggestions. There are a couple brasseries close by. Only a couple hundred meters to the Ecole metro. Easy walk to the Eiffel tower, Invalides or other sites in area. I have no problem recommending this hotel if you are looking for a place in this area for a couple nights in Paris.

I stayed at this hotel with my gf last week and we loved it. We stayed in room 56 and had the greatest view of the Eiffel Tower. Room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was good size and had all the necessary amenities including a hair dryer which my gf was very relieved to discover. We had no problem checking into our room when we arrived early. Staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there on my next visit to Paris.
