“Absolutely lovely.”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Booked as part of a Eurostar deal, after doing lots of cross referencing on TA..(we were impressed that the reviews were consistently good.)On arrival, (after emailing the hotel and receiving prompt and friendly responses) we were greeted by possibly the most friendly and kind face of a hotel ever (Marine) .. Took advantage of a 5th floor upgrade, with a charge, but were blown away by the amazing view. Wouldn't hesitate to return as the location is fantastic.., lots of bistros, bars and public transport (Metro) on your doorstep. Although we didn't take breakfast at the hotel, so our interaction with the staff was minimal, everyone would always smile and give a "bonjour/soir" . Accommodations were very clean and "Parisienne" in style (so much nicer than a chain hotel ) and the bathroom although compact had a good shower and was kept beautifully. Public areas are relaxed and easy. This would be our hotel of choice on a return to this beautiful city.

Spent three nights here and had a lovely room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Rooms are a little small but very cleanand comfortable. What makes this place special is the kind, courteous staff. They answered all our questions with a smile, helped us book transportation to Normandy, and really wanted to help. I kind of liked the street noise at night but when we closed the windows it was really quiet. Breakfast staff were very kind also. What a hidden gem!!

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower!!

If you are searching for a reasonably priced hotel, in a great location, with helpful staff and well furnished and clean rooms... Then look no further than this great little hotel.

This is a 3 star hotel, but it is better than many 4 star hotels and would certainly be at the very top end of a 3 star rating.

The hotel has approx 30 rooms, a small lobby, bar and breakfast room, and with the exception of the breakfast room (it's a little dated but spotless) they are all modern whilst retaining a classic charm and appearance, the ceiling & walls have original wooden beams.

The receptionist was extremely helpful... Particularly for a Parisian hotel! Helped with the usual queries but in very polite and friendly manner. We also had to change room due to a problem with the air con and this was done without fuss and very quickly.

The rooms themselves are very well furnished, not particularly large but fine for a few nights stay.

The hotel provides free WIFI.

The location was perfect, very near 2 different metro lines for quick links to all parts of Paris, reasonably central but in a quiet district and away from the main tourist hot spots.

I'm sure we will stay here again in the future and can definitely recommend.

Hello,

Thank you so much for this review!

We are really sorry that you had troubles with the air conditioning, the system is new but well, with the electronic, you never know! Anyway, I’m glad the problem was fixed quickly, and that it didn’t bother you too much.

About the staff, they all do their best to help the customers after and during their stay, and it’s always a pleasure to know that you did notice it!

You’re right, the breakfast room is the only room which hasn’t been renovated so far, but it shouldn’t last so long now.

We really hope to welcome you back very soon, and in the meantime, let’s kkep in touch through the social network.

Warm regards.

Spent our last night in Paris here. So beautiful. Request room 54 for a beautiful view of the city and the Eiffel Tower at night. Couldn't ask for a better way to end our visit in Paris. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!

There's also a little restaurant next door where they are equally friendly. L'escapade. Try the froi gras, duck confit, and steak tartare!

Hello,

It’s such a pleasure to read that you ended your trip with us, and had a good time!
There are two restaurants next to the hotel, and one of them is L’Escapade! Rate them as well on trip advisor; I’m sure they have their own page.

Should you need to come back to Paris, you’re welcome any time!

Best regards.

The hotel is located near the eiffel tower and a short 10min walk to a street with some restaurants, a carrefour and bakeries. The room was small, but clean and cosy interiour. The staff was very helpfull and nice people. Charming hotel, nice to stay at a local hotel and not huge "chain" hotels

This was our second time staying at the Hotel. Not much more I can say other than that we will be back. Staff is very helpful. Right near the Ecole Militare Metro Station. Comfortable, clean well appointed rooms. Fairly noisy street, but with the soundproof windows, we didn't hear a thing. There are several nice sidewalk cafes nearby.
We travel as a family to Europe once every year or two. The one thing I hate is sorting through hundreds of reviews on 3 star hotels trying to find one that won't be a dump. This year, I just went to the Hotel Duquesne Eiffels website the day before we left and made the reservation. Problem solved, great hotel, family is happy. End of story.

I'm a little hesitant to tell people how good this place is for fear of over crowding!

The staff were so accommodating, the room was spotless, the hotel so close to everything, Eiffel tower out the window, the Invalides literally down the street, ecole militiare across the road, and excellent terrace dining in each direction. Really enjoyed our stay
