A friend recommended to me that I stay on the rive gauche, perhaps in the 15th. So I searched TA for hotels in that area. Hotel Duquesne is in the 7th, but that was even better. The staff were all very helpful in terms of directions and restaurant recommendations. The room (standard) was a typical European hotel room: not a lot of space but who spends a lot of time in the room anyway? Plus it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is only two blocks away from the Metro, and I walked to many of the major tourist attractions. All in all, I thought it was an excellent deal and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Avoid room 18: the bathroom from the next room is right next to the bed and you can hear every time...

We stayed here on our 1st night of our honeymoon. Friendly and helpful staff from the moment we walked in until we left. We were lucky enough to get a room with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We have been to Paris 4 times now and this is the best hotel we have stayed in. We would highly recommend.

We stayed here 2 nights in early Sept 2013. Extremely friendly and accomodating staff. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms had a tub and shower head. A lot of channels in English too if you are going to be watching any TV

The eiffel tower was easy to see if you opened up your window and looked out. The staff provided us with great recommendations for eating. The Rue Cler is just a few blocks away and provides a nice area to stroll and buy picnic ingredients or to just sit down for a nice lunch or dinner.

If I am lucky enough to return to Paris, this will be the hotel I stay at!

Third time we've stayed there since 2010 and consistently good. Rooms quite small but very clean, well furnished and helpful staff at reception. Hotel Duquesne is in a very good area (Les Invalides) with Metro stop about 5 minutes walk away with a wide range of local shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to many of Paris attractions e.g. Eiffel Tower, Musee D'Orsay, Champs D'Elysee, even L'Arc de Triomphe. Our front facing room even had a great view of the Eiffel Tower!

Room Tip: Choose one grade up from the basic room, and one at the front: the road outside is quiet at night.

We stayed at Hotel Duquesne for 7 nights in early September 2013. It is about 2 blocks away from the Ecole Militaire metro stop in Paris. The hotel has a small but friendly lounge area where you can get espresso and wine (the wine was terrible but the espresso was free and offered a good start in the morning.) The room was sufficiently large and we had a view of the Eiffel Tower from the window. I enjoyed opening the window and listening to the sounds of Paris, but the noise wasn't loud and didn't keep me up at night. The bathroom was fairly large. My room key kept getting demagnitized which was a little annoying because I chose to climb the stairs to our 4th floor room, only to have to go back downstairs to get a new room key. I learned to check in at the desk upon arrival to make sure it still worked. They will also provide a sleeve to protect the key if you ask.

The internet worked perfectly. Breakfasts were a little uninspired (American style) but sufficient. It included eggs, sausage or bacon, pastries, packaged cheese, and yogurt.

This was a very convenient and comfortable hotel. There is a good Thai restaurant right next door and a very good Indian restaurant two blocks away (in the direction of the metro station.)

Hello,

It’s really kind to have taken the time to write this nice comment.

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and Paris. Indeed, our bar is a really small one and there aren’t a lot of options, but I’m surprised about your comment about the wine, as it’s a really good one, and no one ever complained about it.

Anyway, it’s always a pleasure to read that our customers did enjoy their time with us, and we would be happy to welcome you back soon!

All I can do really is repeat what others have said. Location fantastic, well priced, room lovely, staff fantastic! We were there for a short wedding anniversary break and so splashed out on a corner room with a view of the tower, which was worth every penny. The girls on the front desk were absolutely lovely, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying here when we next go to Paris.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the end of August. I did a lot of internet research for a hotel in Paris-we are very glad we decided on this hotel. We booked a comfort room for 4 nights and the rate was great for Paris! The room is very small-double bed and desk-but very modern and clean. Our room 36 on the 3rd floor had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower. The double bed was tough for us but we were so exhausted after days of sightseeing that we slept in spite of it!
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming-on our first day we met Marine who gave us a map of Paris and showed us how to navigate around the city. The neighborhood is residential and quiet-yet we felt safe walking back at 11pm. It is close to the Ecole Militaire metro stop which we used frequently. About a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower through Champ de Mar park which is a sight itself. A 10 minute walk to Rue Cler where there are many restaurants and café's. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a safe area and a modern hotel-not a place with a lot of night time action. If I ever get to Paris again I would stay here-but maybe upgrade to a superior room if it is bigger.

Room Tip: If you are staying more than a couple nights maybe upgrade to superior or deluxe for more space or a...
