“Great hotel near the Eiffel Tower”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Eiffel Duquense (last time 2 years ago). It is in a GREAT location! You can see the eiffel tower when you walk out the front door and it is walking distance to multiple metro lines. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished - albiet small but we expect that in a city. The lobby is inviting and the computer is useful if you don't have one with you. They also have free wifi available. The staff is friendly and spoke english. The breakfast room was nice and had a good contiental breakfast spread.

It was just as we remembered and we would stay there again!

We spent three nights there on a recent visit to Paris, and could see the Eiffel Tower from the bed in our corner superior room, just like on the website. This hotel caters to a lot of Americans, and the ladies at the front desk were very polite and helpful. They also serve a good breakfast in the basement "cellar" room. While not in the middle of downtown Paris, the hotel is conveniently located to the metro, Les Invalides, nice cafes, and Rue Cler, Rick Steves' favorite street in Paris. A great value.

Room Tip: The corner superior rooms have the best view, if available. Book early for the best views.

My wife and I spent 4 days at this hotel and were surprised at how small our room was. Only one of us could enter at one time. The shower was 2ft x 2ft and very confined. The room was clean but very dated, with no english tv. The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. The location was close to the Eiffel Tower and bus routes so it was easy to get around. We must mention that the breakfast was very good as well. Nice and clean!

My wife and I stayed at the Duquesne Eiffel Hotel for five nights during a vacation visit to Paris.
I've stayed in bigger more expenseive hotels in Paris but we'll return to the Duquesne Eiffel.
The location is PERFECT with a view of the Eiffel Tower out the balcony. Two blocks from the Metro, 5 minutes from the Esplanade des Invalides (must see museum), 5 minues from Rue Cler (great restaurants/shops) and 10 minutes from the Eiffel tower....loved the location.

The rooms are small, very quiet, comfortable and spotless. The housecleaning staff is friendly and accomodating. The front desk personnel are most helpful and do speak several languages. Great recommendations on transportation and seights to see.

The best kept secret is breakfast...7AM - 10:30AM, in a perfectly quaint basement dining room. A wide variety of hot and cold items were available...fresh bakery good, canadian bacon, british sausages, fresh eggs...a great start for the day. The dining room staff were very personable.

We'll be back!

Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. The room was small but really clean and comfy for two.The breakfast was a good deal for Paris and the dining room staff was also very nice & helpful. No complaints or suggestions. I would def stay again & I would recommend to friends.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the E. Tower

I researched for weeks to find the perfect hotel near the Eiffel Tower with a view, near a metro stop, convenient to a grocery and in a pleasant neighborhood atmosphere.

Hotel Duquesne Eiffel was the absolute perfect choice in every way.

Close to the Ecole Militaire metro stop, a short walk to the Eiffel Tower, and even though we didn't book the highest rate room, we still had a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower! Although the rooms were small as others have said, we didn't find it to be too confining for the two of us.

Additionally, the staff was wonderful! So friendly, helpful, and attentive. They provided recommendations and were overall fantastic.

If you are looking for the perfect Paris hotel experience, this is an excellent choice!

Room Tip: Room #32 - "Champs du Mars" room was wonderful!

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed this lovely hotel. It is in a convenient location a few blocks from the Ecole Militaire metro station on the number 8 line, close to restaurants and a Carrefours grocery store. We paid extra for a Superior room and are glad that we did because it was still fairly small. We enjoyed the view of the Eiffel Tower. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.
