“Perfect location”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Upon my arrival i was in constant contact with the concierge, sanjay. He was extremely helpful and booked all my restaurant reservations for me. He also got museum passes that were there when i arrived. His helpfulness made the trip very smooth.
The rooms were clean and nice. They were small but we barely spent any time in the room so it did not matter. The hotel was right in the heart of the left bank. It was a great location and were able to walk to many attractions like the lourve and the luxembourg gardens. We had a great time and i would recommend the hotel

Nice four stars hotel with a great location in the six district. Rooms are small, as in every Paris hotel, but clean and comfortable with charm. If your room is facing the street it might be noisy at nights, when many tourists and locals are walking through the neigbourhood. You can skip an expensive breakfast and walk across the street to Paul to have a nice and not expensive breakfast.
The hotel is a walking distance from all central 5 and 6 districts interesting places.
Will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to get a back room, not facing the street

I travel to Europe every October for work, and always stop a few days in Paris. The Buci is absolutely my favorite hotel for this trip, and I'll be back this October for my fourth (or fifth, I can't remember) stay. Making my reservation made me feel guilty that I hadn't written a review! The location can't be beat. There are lots of lovely cafes and great restaurants close by, it's an easy walk to the D'orsay, the Louvre, or Notre Dame and there are two metros within a few blocks. The rooms are comfortable, and by Paris standards they are a good size. The roll down blackout shutters mean that even though Rue de Buci may be hopping at 2am, you're sleeping sound. And the staff is completely amazing. Gabriella in particular is just incredible. I'm not good at pre-planning, and she got me same day reservations at both Le Cinq and Les Bouquinistes. Miracle worker. They have remodeled the lobby in the last couple of years and it is stunning, a great place to have a glass of wine or a coffee before heading out.

Stayed at the end of June.Had a room at back of hotel which was very quiet, and I was upgraded.Very interesting area to stay. very welcoming and accomodating staff.
The only sour note was when I left...I had ordered a taxi for 11am, and was ready by 10-50am. At 11 we looked down the street to see the taxi driver waiting a little way down. He already had 10 euros on his meter, insisting we had been 2 minutes late....when I tried to argue he would not engage. So a very expensive taxi ride! and a con...Suggest to Hotel Buci that you change the taxi firm you use..

We began our honeymoon at this lovely hotel in the heart of the St. Germaine area and enjoyed the fantastic location. From the moment you step out of the door, you are in the midst of Parisian life with bustling cafes and bars - the vibe is wonderful. Despite the lively location, the room was quiet and peaceful and the decor very tasteful. The rooms are on the smaller side but have all you need - cleverly designed and very cosy. The only minor quibble would be that my husband ordered us champagne upon arrival and he had to remind the hotel the next day when it hadn't arrived. It did, however, arrive with some lovely macaroons and was more than made up for by the wonderful service the hotel paid us in storing our suitcases for 2 weeks - thank you so much Hotel de Buci! We hope to return on our next trip to Paris.

The best thing about this Hotel is the location! Nearby the great cafes, restaurants and caves from Quartier Latin, it is perfect for sightseeing during the day and for enjoying a perfect night in Paris, just a few blocks from there. Friendly staff and very clean rooms and bathroom, one of the areas had just been reformed, the hotel is very well conserved. The breakfast is wonderful and the service is good. I only think the room was pretty small, but it was great anyway.

We just recently stayed at Hotel de Buci for 4 nights in June 2012. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, especially Gabriella and Edgar. Our room wasnt quite ready when we arrived but they kindly offered us some champagne while we waited. The rooms are smallish (but most are in Paris) clean, and well furnished. We stayed in unlucky room 13 which had an issue with the airconditioner being noisy and it caused the bathroom ceiling to leak but the staff did all they could to fix this for us and compensated us accordingly. It is in a great location, walking distance to the lourve but in the heart of st. Germain. There are lots of great bars and restaurants nearby. I highly reccommend the restaurant across the road called 'Germain', a very cool bar with good cocktails. Great shopping nearby also. Overall a great place to stay if you want to spoil yourself.
