Small and elegant hotel with a fantastic location. Clean room with little balcony overlooking Parisian rooftops.
The room had a typical Parisian feel and the room was well positioned as it was quite small but was so beautifully decorated (as is the hotel throughout)
Breakfast was a simple and filling continental style, the coffee alone was delicious!
The hotel staff were delightful, pleasant and extremely helpful - customer service is commendable.
The location of the hotel is perfect - few minutes walk to metro station and the Arc de Triomphe.

I will definitely use this hotel again for any stay in Paris - cannot rate highly enough.

Before I embarked on my first European tour, I had been dreaming of staying [or living permanently =) ] in a real Parisian house... well, this hotel is it. I was so wonderfully surprised as we settled in our room, complete with those decorative moldings on the ceiling; the windows were floor to ceiling and had wonderful draperies/curtains for privacy, wall-papered walls, and antique furnitures. The carpeted floors squeaks and that just tells you that it was made of wood... so Parisian =))) The carpet, the double doors (you've got to see it, my first time seeing those) I think for privacy, and everything about this hotel exudes the authentic Parisian charm. Our first morning, we had a wake-up alarm compliment by the garbage collectors' noise outside... we found out that our window was open... LOL... as I tried to close them, the view across the street told me that, "hey, you're in Paris!" The only thing that was modern in my room is the bathroom, it has double sinks and modern amenities (bathrobes for each guests, ample supply of towels and what have you). The bedsheets are crispy and white =))) The employees were very helpful and made sure our stay was wonderful; and on the front desk, they even have a basket of free plastic ponchos for our use. The hotel is a few minutes walk to Arc De Triomphe, metro, stores, and few seconds walk to a mini-grocery store and restaurants. I would definitely stay in this hotel again =)))

We enjoyed our eight night stay at Hotel Balmoral. The location was a highlight, just metres from a busy metro station and close to the Air France airport shuttle bus stop. Our room was small but well thought-out. The staff were very helpful with any queries we had and made some excellent suggestions for nearby cafes and restaurants. Try Le Hide just down the road.

Quaint hotel, close to Metro, airport shuttle and L Arc de Triomphe. The standard room is very small with a very small bathroom. The noisy floors were extremely annoying from the upper floor. housekeeping was good, room well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Pillows poor but bed ok.
We had good daily exercise up and down stairs as lift is slow and tiny.
Breakfast is served to you on a tray and is the same everyday. Bit boring, cereal etc is extra. 12 euros for yogurt, fruit, pastries, rock hard baguette, and tea/ coffee. Staff ok, courteous but not overly friendly. Overall, I considered the hotel itself quite expensive for what it offered.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

Sorry you did not appreciate your stay with us. As you' ve seen it we are located in an old typical Parisian building, built in the early 19th. We can not offer insulation or large lifts as if we were in a modern building. This is the case in most of the Parisian hotels and apartments.

As for the breakfast, you should have asked for eggs, bacon, drinks...available on our menu on each table.

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again.

Location of the hotel is superb, you are literally less than a minute from the metro station and 1,5 minute to the Arch de Triomph and Champs Elysees.
Staff is more than pleasant and hospitable, rooms clean and comfy and large enough for what you need when in city hotel in Paris.
Highly recommended!!!

My family and I stayed here for 7 nights. Total cost about $4,500. Paris is expensive. Service is just ok. Front desk argued at length over an incorrect lunch charge only to remove it in the end. We had two rooms each with doors that open to the courtyard for fresh air. The view is of other rooms and the rest of the building but the fresh air is nice. Absolutely no privacy if you open the doors and there are no windows. It is cramped for space. The rooms do have airconditioning. The hotel has an elevator or you can use the large carpeted pretty spiral staircase. It is a quiet hotel and there is wifi, but not strong enough to stream video but fine to check email and google maps. Beds are soft and clean. No bugs. The bathrooms appear newly updated with one having a heated towel rack. Toilets are separated from the bathrooms. One toilet was in a very cramped closet sized space. No pool on the premises but for $35 a person you can access a pool else where. No cigarette smell in the rooms. The front desk employees speak little english but some employees try to be helpful. The restaurant in the hotel seats about 8 tables and is small. We have no idea about breakfast. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the Arc de Triomphe.
Communication is poor. Not a lot of help with restaurant suggestions or how to get around.

Good location, easy walk to Arc and Champs, metro 1 block.
Staff was very accommodating and helpful to making suggestions
and advice. Found out we were given an upgraded room for our
anniversary, the room was very comfortable, 3rd floor with a street
view. Many restaurants and sidewalk cafes close by, which is
not uncommon, which is why we did not eat at the hotel. Would
stay there again and recommend this place without a second thought.
