Nice small hotel for a reasonable price in a quite area surrounded by small restaurants.Very close to Corvisart metro with good connection to all sights.Room are small, but with comfortable bed and clean.A bit frustrating is lack of hooks for the towels.all together, good value for money.

Hello,

I stayed at Hotel St. Chales back in December during a short, one-day long business trip. The hotel it not too bad if you have to stay in the area. It is comfy enough and well accessible.
My problem with it was and still is that I was double charged for my stay and the hotel does not want to acknowledge the fact that they effectively stole 100 € from my company. My stay was pre-paid for and upon departure I told the receptionist it was the case. He ignored it and said he did not care for any such nonsense. I had to pay and go since I was on a tight flight schedule. My attempts to get that money back have failed, so have those by my travel agent. The hotel / its owner company are mute and not replying to our emails. So here we are, if you are travelling with a pre-paid voucher you better steer clear of Hotel St. Charles to avoid similar situation.
Regards, Marcin Barszczewski

It's a great place to stay in Paris, at a reasonable price. The room was quite small, but that's no big issue. It was very clean and modern, and the metro (Place d'Italie or Corvisart) was only a few minutes away.

We are a family of four and found the quadruple room a bit small for us and the bathroom was also tiny. We did spend most of the day discovering the city so it was fine just to sleep in. The beds were comfortable. The lighting was quite dim however. There is a lift and they keep your luggage for you if you arrive early. 5 minute walk to Place d'Italie metro stop which takes you everywhere you need to go. It is in the 13 th arrondissement so not central and it is in a quiet street.

Stayed here for a weekend March with the boyfriend.
Pro's:
- Lovely, modern hotel
- Good maid service
- Clean rooms
- Coffee making facilities in room
- Helpful staff (emailed prior to stay for metro directions, lent us a corkscrew from the bar to use in the room)
- Nice area, a little out of the way but easy to access once you get the hang of the metro

Con's:
- Small (but this was expected in Paris and not anything to complain about)
- LOUD. Couldn't relax or have a lie-in as could hear everything the maids were saying as well as other guests - but then you're in Paris! Who wants to have a lie-in?
- Asked at reception for check-out time the night before we left and were given the wrong time. Had to rush to pack the next morning after a call from reception saying we should have checked out already.
- Given wifi code but only one of us could use it for the whole stay! Must be limited to one user per room. Frustrating.

Overall, lovely hotel in a nice, convenient neighbourhood, good price! Would definitely stay here again.

I was in this hotel twice in a week, from 16 to 19 December for business, and from 23 to 26 for pleasure. The place is nice, rooms are fine for one person (for 2... not so big). Personnel polite and very helpful.
The hotel is in the south of the Latin quartier, near Place de L'italie and the metro. There is 55 mins walking to Notredame.... Try it.

Room Tip: 305 is fine

The hotel is fairly modern with nicely decorated rooms. Good amenities, great rain shower. The best thing was however the neighbourhood. Not in the immediate city centre, but that's what makes it so interesting and authentic. Quiet area, off the beaten track, with plenty of nice bakeries, bars and restaurants. Quaint narrow streets with cute houses, feels very much like a village within the city. Great to just stroll around. Not far from metro (5 minutes) and from there doesn't take long to get into the touristic centre (20-25 minutes).
