A fabulous hotel, positioned right on the Seine River and just a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Restaurants and cafes in every direction. We loved staying here and found the staff very helpful and pleasant and breakfast was delicous. I would definately recommend this hotel for both Business and pleasure.

My husband and I stayed at the Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel for 4 nights.
The hotel was very modern and North-American in style as Novotel is such a large international business chain. We had a wonderful room and the hotel was absolutely beautiful! We were on the 29th floor, but weren't facing the Eiffel tower, so I can't say if the view of it was good or not. Our room was cleaned thoroughly everyday, and the bathroom (which was very nice) was re-stocked and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a mini fridge (we used it to keep some cheese on hand to snack on with bread along the river in the early evenings), a tv (you can purchase movies for 4 euro/movie), an in-room safe (which we had no problems with), and wired internet connection (which was free, but disconnected every 2 hours - wireless had a higher cost I think). Neither of us used the fitness centre or the pool so I can't really comment on either. We also chose not to eat in the hotel restaurants as we wanted to experience Paris dining.
If you've never travelled to Europe, be forwarned you will need a power adaptor/converter as they have different plugs than North America. The hotel does provide a charging tower for various devices (Blackberry, ipod, etc) in the lobby by the conceirge desk incase you forget your charger, but there is a cost involved. They also do not provide faceclothes in the bathrooms, only hand towels and bath towels, but it is my understanding that is standard for Paris. In the lobby they have a small store with souvenirs and some candy (I got sick at the end of the trip and picked up some Fishermans Friend cough drops there).
My only complaint about the hotel was the location - but would we have done more research prior to going (we booked pretty last minute) we would have known that. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel tower and in between 2 stations (Bir Hakeim metro station and Javel RER station - both about a 5 minute walk) which helped in terms of getting around Paris, but we found the area right around the hotel was mostly "suburbia" (for lack of a better term).
There were plenty of restaurants around the Eiffel Tower, but it took a couple of days to scope out the non-touristy places. One restaurant that surprised us as it was kind of touristy was on the Seine directly below the Eiffel Tower. It was called Bateaux Parisiens and was in conjunction with the boat tour of the same name (which we also did - much less busy than the Bateau Mouche). It had a great view of the tower, good food and good service.
All in all it was a great hotel. The fact that we enjoyed it so much let us enjoy our trip. After a full day of walking, it was nice to come back to a quiet, comfortable, clean room. If we ever visit Paris again though, we would probably stay in Montmartre or the Latin Quarter as there is much more nightlife and activity in those areas.

The hotel is ho hum. Some good things, some bad. Good firm bed and decent shower. Helpful concierge staff. Downside, breakfast was not good, only instant coffee in rooms, paper and plastic cups. I was assured the rooms had wi fi but that is not true. Bring a laptop or tablet that is dsl compatible and bring a dsl line. Wi fi on second floor was sketchy and unreliable. There were long lines to use the four public computers. The French keyboard is laid out differently from the US and therefore a twenty minute limit on use was too sparse. The tv controls in the room are poor. I managed to watch a news channel once. The windows do not open and the heating/ac controls are limited. My card key failed to work at least once a day and I was blamed for placing it too close to credit cards or other devices that interfered with the magnetics, a false charge certainly after the third or so time the card failed because I was very careful by then. Each time the card failed, I found myself in a long line at reception behind people checking in.

The bar is over priced. The one time we ate dinner there, I tried to put the meal on my room only to be chased out the door by a restaurant manager yelling that i had "bad credit.". In the end, it turns out reception made a mistake but only after all the other restaurant guests looked at me like I was some kind of thief.

The nearby neighborhood on Charles Michel square is a joy. No tourists, no bling bling boys selling junk, no pick pockets. The grocery store, Monoprix, located kitty corner from the hotel on the second level plaza, is a real find as well.

Stayed at novotel Paris for 4 nights in May.

Pros: close to Eiffel tower (10 minute walk. Concierge was friendly.

Cons: walls papering as I could hear the family in the next room quite clearly until wee hours of the
morning no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby which was a pain. Rooms are looking dated.

Disappointed as I was looking forward to staying here. I don't think I'd stay here again. I'd look at a hotel closer to the lourve & other attractions.

Nice view over Seine. Pity we were on the 31st floor and the lift only went to the 30th though.
Longer walk to the Eiffel Tour that we expected. The room was quite large. We had been told that Paris hotels were particularly small. The pool was not easy to access, so had to give that a miss.

On arrival our rooms were not available & were told to come back after 11am & they would be prepared - fair enough seeing we were there before check in time. arrived back at noon & were castigated for having the audacity to be there before 3pm. We sat in the lobby as we were wasted as travelling from Australia for 24hours & one hour later were given our keys. The room we small but ok but dirty. The bath room leaked like a titanic movie & any time we complained we were treated like an inconvenience & the problem was never addressed. The breakasts were also ptitful - poor quality & not hot. our problems were not isolated - our whole group, 3 buses full, changed to a new hotel in paris upon our return, (Pullman) which ws fantastic!!! Keep away - go to the Pullman instead

Room Tip: Avoide the place

This hotel was great but make sure you ask the front desk exactly when and where breakfast is. Between the front desk, the restaurants and concierges everyone had a different story. One day we were told we needed a coupon and next day we were told we didn't...then we were told it's on the third floor but once you get there it's not easy to find and then when we got to the room - the people told us it's downstairs. Needless to say - they need to have a group meeting to discuss those details but it's nothing to worry about. Also, at the end of our trip when we were checking out, we were invoiced for 65 euros for a meal we didn't have at the bar. Apparently, someone had a beautiful lunch and put the expense on our room number. We of course didn't pay for it since it wasn't us but it was a process that wasn't fun and not an enjoyable way to finish our stay at the Novotel but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Rooms were nice but barely any counter space in the bathroom. Bring ear plugs because the walls are paper thin.
