We stayed at the recently refurbished Hotel Mademoiselle for 3 nights in October. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from Gard du Nord and Gard de l'Est. It was very easy to find.
Check in was very simple, staff were plentiful and very friendly and efficient. Their English was also pretty much perfect. Free wifi was also a very good addition.
We were in room 101. The room itself was a lot bigger than we were expecting for Paris, freshly refurbished, very modern, spotlessly clean. Big safe inside the wardrobe with plenty of space for a couple of iPads or a laptop.
We only had a couple of minor problems with the room. As it was right next to the lift every time someone pressed the call button we heard the 'bing-bong'. There was a wardrobe in the room but it did not have a rail in it or any hangers which we found a bit strange. I'm not a huge fan of wet rooms, but the shower literally wet everything. And to sit on the toilet you had to slide your knees under the sink, it was as if they toilet had been installed the wrong way round!
We too were awoken by the carpet fitters at around 8.30 but as it was our first day we didn't mind. This was not a problem after the first morning.
Perfectly located for the Metro. We found some nice restaurants and bars within a short walk on Rue la Fayette, left out of the hotel. We walked to the right put of the hotel once and walked through part of the district which was quite run down.
We did not use the spa, hotel bar or have breakfast at the hotel, even though breakfast was offered at a discounted rate if booked for the entire stay.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.

LOCATION : Perfect location as it situated in between the 2 main stations which are Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est and both are within walking distance. Easy access to the public transport such as buses and "La Open Tour" bus stop, the best way for Paris sight-seeing!

STAFF : Every staff were good especially Paul who can speak very fluent English and good looking boy! They were helpful and friendly.

BREAKFAST : Simple but great Paris breakfast. Even though the variety wasn't much yet I believe that was more than enough for all. I love the self-service boiled eggs and the pancakes with honey the most.

ROOM & DECOR : Hotel was newly refurbished. Cozy room with comfy beds, nice décor and bathroom was well equipped with all the toiletries and bath towels provided.

And the best part of the hotel was they offered FREE Hammam & Spa for hotel guests!

Our travel agent suggested it over other hotels in the area. We wanted something close to Gare Du Nord. The rooms are small but I believe that is Paris. The locations is very good. It is still being refurbished. The staff were good, especially Paul who said his English wasn't grwat, but he is better than he thinks. Every time we left he wished us a happy day in Paris. On check out he was very sincere in hoping we had enjoyed Paris and hoped we come again.

Hotel was nice, lovely decor, breakfast good, staff very pleasent. Up until the last day we would have given it 4 stars at least. We had has a pretty exhausting three days sightseeing and were looking forward to a little lie in on the last day before catching our plane home. On the last night the people above us were walking around until 3am (although this obviously wasn't the hotels fault). What was the hotel's fault was that the following morning we were woken at 8.30am by workmen pulling up and relaying the carpets on the corridor outside our room. They were very, very, loud, there was no way you could sleep through it and it carried on for a couple of hours. I understand that sometimes works needs to be done like this, but if it were my hotel there was no way I would have agreed to that kind of work starting as early as 8.30am. Ironically, when we arrived the Reception staff said they understand that we are on holiday and want to relax so if we dont want to come down for breakfast before 10am just let them know and they will put something aside for you. So they do know that you are there to rest, relax and maybe sleep later than at home, but they still prioritise the re-decorating work over the experience of the guests. Most disappointing. It ruined our stay which up until then had been very pleasent.

Room Tip: Check whether any maintenance work is scheduled during your stay.

We've just returned from a four night stay at Hotel Mademoiselle & were very impressed with the friendliness & efficiency of the entire team there. The staff all spoke excellent english & were very helpful, giving good recommendations for local restaurants & helpful directions for our trips.

The hotel is freshly refurbished & whilst the colour scheme is a little dark for my taste its very well executed throughout. The rooms were well equipped, comfortable beds & bathrobe & slippers were provided. The only downside was that the aircon just didn't seem to have any effect at all so our rooms was rather too hot overnight, so great for winter trips, not so much in summer. We forgot to take swimwear so didn't check out the spa.

Breakfast was very good for continental standards, with cold meats & boiled eggs alongside the usual pastries, etc. Whilst there isn't a full bar, there is a pleasant courtyard to enjoy a glass of wine or two.

The location is just 5 mins stroll from Gare du Nord, so its very easy to set up base. It's not the most glamorous area, but easy access to the metro makes for a great base. We found a few nice local restaurants for meals within easy walking distance including Playtime which was just next door & nearby Chez Michel which were great dinner choices and Le Tire Bouchon was great for lunch. A short stroll from Montmatre and the beautiful Sacre Coeur.

So if you want an easy, cost effective base close to the station and are happy to take a short metro to see the sights give this place a try.

Hotel recently refurbished I think,as everything looked and smelt new. Location good for station, about 5 mins walk. Good value compared to other hotels we looked at. I just hope they do not raise prices after refurb.Hotel does not look much from outside, but it is a hidden gem inside. Very modern and well appointed. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room a good size with plenty of storage space, free security safe for i pad, phones etc and free wifi. Only downside was shower which was only handheld and not fixed to the wall.We did not take up breakfast option so cannot comment on this, price was 13 euro each so opted to go to local cafe's instead as cheaper. You could also purchase a glass of wine 5 euro or a bottle for 20 euro to sit and drink in courtyard. Would recommend

The staff was great and very attentive, and everyone at the reception spoke perfect English. The rooms, although small as expected in Paris, were new or completely renovated, and very nice.
The breakfast, which was not included in the price, had a discount rate for those who ordered it for the entire stay, and was full continental French breakfast. It had all sorts of bread, 3 types of cheese, ham and much more.
The only downside was the air-conditioner, which failed completely to cool down the room, and the fact that on Monday, they apparently forgot to clean our room.
