My husband & i booked this hotel for the special occasion of my 50th birthday.
My husband telephoned the hotel direct & to make sure he had booked correctly a london hotel manager we know,who is french also spoke direct to the hotel female owner and informed her it was for a special occasion.
On arrival at 7-15pm on a dark wet evening we were told booking was not confirmed!
Sent us to the Hotel Voltaire,round the corner.They had a room on top floor at the back of hotel,the best way to discribe it was in the attic,very dark & dismal,Could have changed rooms after 3rd night,we didn't, wanted to spend quality/precious time sorting new accomodation. We don't get the opportunity to get time away often as we run our own business!
Went to see Owner of Hotel Bersolyls early next morning.She said our card payment was not good,says tried card 15 days prior to our arrival.We have been using this card regularly prior to this trip!Told us & showed us briefly she had sent us 2 e-mails about this problem,no e-mails arrived to us!Didn't even try to contact our London Friend/Hotelier about this problem,madame had her contact number!
Seems to be a regular practice for this hotel!PLEASE DON'T BOOK HERE!!!!
