I would say it's a good hotel..1KM walk from Gare de EST station...but breakfast is good buy with very few options ..people at reception are very helpful and co-operative.
Location is not that good..i wanted a hotel near eiffel tower but those were very expensive..so Belta is value for money.

We went to Paris for a couple of nights to see a gig at "Le Grand Rex". We chose the hotel as it was quite close to the Gare Du Nord (Eurostar Terminal) and close to the venue.
We were not expecting much as it wasn't very expensive but were really happy with what we got. The hotel staff are excellent and were very patient and helpful especially as my pidgin French is not up to much. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble. We were even offered free wifi as we checked in which was easy to set up and use.
The rooms are clean and adequate with a great bathroom, flat screen TV and daily service. This is not a 5 star hotel so dont expect views of the Seine and gold plated taps however it way way over our expectations.
We didnt get to breakfast so cant comment but even if it wasn't good Paris is so full of great cafes that you cant go wrong.
The hotel is located close to the Gare Du Nord and within a 10 to 20 minute walk to most of the tourist spots including Sacre Coeur, Les Halles, The Seine etc etc. There is also a great cafe within 20 metres and a small supermarket over the canal.
All in all it was excellent and we are taking our son to Paris in the summer and will be booking the Belta again.

A four day break in Paris at this hotel was good and helped very much by the Desk Staff who guided us new travellers to Paris in getting about, taxis, metro , restaurants, etc. Convenient to Gare de L'Est and with some good local restaurants. Very clean and breakfast continental , but could have been improved with some fresh fruit. Good value for money .

Room Tip: Rooms at the top seem best

Great service - very clean rooms and friendly staff. The daily breakfast was quite a good spread. The manager (Mr. Lege - not sure of the spelling) was very helpful and always took his time to give us pointers/tips on anything about Paris. You get a real neighborhood feel - away from all the touristy spots. There are a number of good cafes and restaurants around (french, thai, korean, spanish, japanese, etc,). My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - especially those who are on a budget and looking to get great value for the money! (Arnel and Maria)

Room Tip: Get a room on the higher floors if you can. It can get a bit noisy at night. Other than that, we r...

The Belta Hotel receptionist, who called himself as an owner has the worse attitude and hospitality level I have experienced ever. Hotel manager Jack told us that his hotel closes at 1:00 am and he said to my friends to get out from my room. So, we sould spent a couple of hours just on the street waiting for a taxi.
I find this kind of attitude unacceptable for the hotel manager who takes care of his guests and should give a little of respect to them.
For 12 hours of real accomodation Ive been treated as undesirable guest despite Ive paid full 24 h rate. So, I couldnt even enjoy a quiet talk with friends in the room where I actually staid less then 5 hours in total from all 12h of being there.
I would not suggest to any of my friends or colleagues to stay at this hotel.
Hotel in general is not bad.
