“Excellent Hotel with good rates and great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

Great location, near Madeleine Church and metro station. Walking distance from restaurants, cafe´s and some of Paris most important seightseeing. Little room but that is common in Europe, clean bathroom and a really safe district. Paris is beautiful and I enjoyed my time in Paris and in this hotel. If you don´t expect american big chain hotels, this is your choice.

Really didn't know what to expect when i booked this hotel. After 2 days reading reviews of every hotel in Paris i decided to go for this one as the reviews i had read were all pretty good. Finding a nice hotel in Paris is very hard if you don't want to spend more than £250 per night but i was very happy with my choice to stay at Hotel Alison.

The staff we met were very friendly and polite, they gave us directions whenever we asked, recommended nice bars / restaurants plus spoke to us in English after hearing our ridiculously poor attempts at speaking French.

The rooms are basic and pretty small (still comfortable, not cramped), but when spending a long weekend in Paris who wants to spend time in their hotel room?! Was ideal for just sleeping / showering in etc. Very clean, bed was pretty comfortable and even had a small balcony. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Shame there was no tea / coffee making facilities in the room but there was a mini bar which wasn't too overly priced.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, it's fantastic. 2 minute walk to Madeline, 10 minutes to Champs-Elysees, 15 to Louvre and about 25 to the Eiffel Tower (the way we walked anyway)! Nice bars and restaurants nearby but it is quite an expensive area to stay in so be warned.

All in all a really lovely trip to Paris and if i were to go again i would definitely consider staying here again. Especially considering some of the horror stories i have heard about other nearby hotels which were much more expensive!

Great hotel in quiet street. Lovely interior decor and good sized room. There is a supermarket over the road and a larger Monoprix about 5 mins walk away. Close to several metro stops and within walking distance of gardens, Madeline church, art galleries and the Louvre. Top Paris fashion stores and boutiques are south and north east of the hotel.
The staff were pleasant and very helpful and happy to speak English. Overall a very pleasant experience.
The breakfast was simple but huge and mini bar prices very reasonable.

Decent small rooms in a lovely location near la Madeline. Very quiet at night but close to several cafes, bars and bistros. Also close to 'Au chat bleu', amazing chocolate shop near to st Augustin metro.
Shower was too small, resulting in accidentally turning the water off or changing it's temperature whenever you turn around, but not a big deal. Staff were very helpful, and quite friendly for the French ;-)
Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

This is a really lovely hotel, furnished with quality antiques, real paintings, clean smart new bathrooms, and fairly quiet for so close to the centre. In a really good location for the metro (Tuilleries station about a 2 minute walk). The reception staff were all really friendly and helpful. There is no breakfast room, but the breakfast was fresh, delicious, and far better value than the rubbish one we got when we did decide to eat in one of the cafes nearbye

Room Tip: get one which looks out over the little side street, zero traffic.
