I previously reviewed this hotel where we had enjoyed our stay.
However when we booked again and had to curtail our journey due to my husband being taken seriously ill on the journey we were charged the full no show fee. I had let the hotel know immediately it became clear that we needed to go to hospital.
Booking com contacted the hotel and my grandson, who we were going to visit, went to the hotel to explain what had happened but we were still charged.
I would not mind being charged a small fee but not the full no show.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife as part of her 40th celebrations, we wanted an authentic Parisienne hotel, the Ambassadeur delivered in bucket fulls...good wholesome breakfast but plain and simple, a good continental. Room clean, with clean but small en suite.

Couple of great bakeries and grocers seconds walk away. Metro stop about a 3 minute walk away.

Everything you expect a proper bite of Paris should be...just perfect. .

Nobody speaks English, the rooms are nothing like they are showing on here. It was a work site when we arrived, got warned by a taxi driver that its in a dangerous place and that we show 'Just sleep here'. The hotel smells disgusting.

Room Tip: Do not choose this hotel

From the information we got provided, when we arrived at the hotel (30 students) we were told that we couldn't have 3 bedded rooms and that they only provided 2 bedded rooms which was an inconvenience for us all. The images on the website look nothing like the hotel, they only give you one key and you have to give it back to them if you're leaving the hotel for the day, the woman at the reception wasn't friendly at all and gave us attitude, there was building work being done on the hotel downstairs which made quite a bit of noise, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, no fridge, if we made any sort of noise the reception were asking us all to pay 25 euros and if one lot of us made noise they could take all the money (we didn't).

The hotel needs a makeover (when people aren't in the hotel) as it's very run down, I found mold on clean sheets and stains on the blankets they provided in the rooms. You can hear everyone in the hotel because the walls are that thin.

The only things that are good are that it's a short walking distance to the metro, the breakfast was very good to say it was continental and you could help yourself to however much food/drink as you wanted. The beds are very comfy and the room was spacious for the time we were there.

Room Tip: None of the rooms are quiet as you can hear everything anyway.

Had the unfortunate experience of staying at this 'hotel' for the past four days with a university trip. There's no way in hell this hotel is worthy of three stars, it deserves one star at best. The entire hotel looked dirty, unclean and in poor decor. There were unplastered walls everywhere, paint on the already filthy, thread-bare carpets, chipped paintwork everywhere and a horrible musty/mouldy smell throughout the hotel. The breakfast was appalling, your choice was either a small baguette or croissant, a slice of jam and cup of awful coffee or tea that was grey in colour. Where's the fruit? Yogurt? Cheese? Various meat? Egg selection? Nothing there for gluten intolerant sufferers.

The staff were rude and did not speak a word of english. We booked three bed rooms only to find out only two people were allowed to stay in the rooms despite there being three beds present in the rooms. This caused a lot of complications and confusion.

The hotel was undergoing mass renovations which meant that building work started at 10am every day. Banging & drilling all day with cables all over the hotel and dust everywhere (surely a health hazard). We were woken up because of a fire alarm going off due to builders tripping the system. The hotel also failed to mention these renovations to us when we booked otherwise we would not have booked with them!

The rooms were also paper thin, you could here people above you, next to you and below you.

There were no kettles available throughout the hotel, two of our members asked for hot water late at night and they were told they couldn't have hot water until 6am. Also the hotel was in a very suspicious area and we felt unsafe walking around there.

I've stayed in better youth hostels than this 'hotel'. For your own sake, do not stay here!

Room Tip: Don't stay here full stop. Choose a different hotel!
