Nice place to stay, very clean with a nice decor inside. The breakfast included is good and location is fantastic. I would walk everywhere or simply catch a metro. BEWARE: Arrive at the time you've told them, or let them know if you're going to be late. They gave away my room when i arrived late, but managed to help me out in finding one after an hour. In saying that, the staff are pretty nice.

The paid WiFi is a bummer, but there's a Starbucks near Opera (about 4 blocks away) which has good free WiFi.

Room Tip: Use the showers on the street side, i.e the ones that have windows. It has more ventilation

I stayed there for 3 nights in June 2014. Although rainy weather outside nice team of hostel was always smiling and helpful. Location is perfect, 2 min walk from metro station. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, various choice of food for breakfast. Luggage room is available with lockers.
Next time definitely stay at BVJ Opera hostel :)

We had a wonderful time! The place was clean and nice. The lobby was really pretty. Free daily breakfast was wonderful and there was always plenty of food. It has a very calm atmosphere, I would suggest as one of the best and reasonable place to stay in paris.

The booking worked and everything went smoothly. The staff are nice and most of them speak good English. The rooms are clean, the beds reasonably comfy. The only problem is the bathrooms, which have no seats, and look quite dirty. The breakfast is very simple but overall a good location from central Paris.

We had a wonderful time! The place was clean and nice. The lobby was really pretty. Free daily breakfast was wonderful and there was always plenty of food. It has a very calm atmosphere but there are plenty of places to go an hang out as a group. It's mostly the basics but if that's what you're looking for, I would definitely recommend this hostel. Also just two blocks from a metro station.
