“The Perfect Paris Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

La Maison Favart is a beautifully furnished, relaxed and charming boutique hotel. Perfectly situated in a quiet street, we walked everywhere - Galleries Lafayette, Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arch de Triumph, Musee d'Orsay... There are also some excellent restaurants nearby.

We stayed 5 memorable nights in the Carmen Duplex and although there was no view (I'm sure other rooms have a fantastic view of the square), the room was comfortable with a Queen bedroom upstairs and a separate downstairs lounge. With 2 beautifully equipped bathrooms, an upstairs bath and downstairs shower (with great water pressure!) it was like a mini apartment with a coffee machine!

The breakfast room is delightful (we received complimentary breakfasts, but normally they are expensive at 22 Euro each). It transforms into an honesty bar in the evening, which was great to have a drink after a busy (freezing) day in Paris to warm our feet by the fire in the beautiful lobby.

All the staff were extremely professional, friendly and happy to help in any way. We didn't have our kids with us, but I'm sure it would be a family friendly hotel.

The only thing I would suggest is the Hotel makes arrangements with one of the local restaurants to supply a room service menu with cooked meals. After flying in from Australia arriving 6am and a full day on the go, our first night there we just wanted a room service dinner and to get some sleep :) The limited room service menu of sandwiches and salad wasn't particularly attractive.

We will stay here again when next we visit Paris!

We only stayed one night but had a great experience. Location was very central. Hotel staff were all very friendly and eager to help. Room was elegantly decorated and clean. Shower was particularly nice. I picked it because it was one of the few hotels in central Paris with a pool. It was small but it was spa-like with a waterfall and colored lights and my kids enjoyed it to themselves for 2 hours in the morning before we checked out. Memorable experience!

Stayed here just for the night but loved every minute! Stayed in the corner room which was fantastic, would definitely recommend. The staff are extremely friendly, very helpful, well mannered and professionals. .

Room Tip: Corner rooms are best for me

The staff were charming, efficient, friendly and helpful while also giving us space to enjoy our stay without being too fussy/intrusive. The location is dandy. The rooms smaller but perfectly formed and attention to detail is luxe. My first stay here. I'll be back. Not one for the kids really, or only well behaved, respectful children. I can't find anything not to like.

What a lovely place. Impeccable service, lovely decor, comfortable, friendly and chic. Room (deluxe) was small but bathroom was great and we had a nice view onto L'Opera Comique. The wellbeing area is a special treat - make sure you don't miss out - clever design in underground caves - really great. Can't recommend it enough - quite expensive but well worth it.

What can I say? I spent the most amazing birthday at La Maison Favart!

The hotel staff really go the extra mile to ensure you get what you need. Front desk staff happily organise days out and recommend places away from the regular tourist traps. For my birthday dinner the hotel arranged a table at one of the swankiest restaurants in town called La Societe. It's rather difficult to get a booking but the hotel pulled some stings and got us a reservation that morning.

The rooms as decadently decorated (each is unique) and being located off a main road, very quiet. The bathrooms all have rain showers and you get spoilt with the selection of free (and very nice smelling) toiletries. Hairdryer is also a decent salon style dryer.

The Spa the Spa...what can I say. The pictures live up to what you experience and the majority of the time is quiet! You feel like you have access to a private Spa!

The breakfast is great and the hotel offers two options. An 'express' for €11 which gives you a vast selection of cakes, pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruits, juices, teas etc. A 'continental' gives you all of the above but you also get cheeses, cold meats and cooked food for €24.

Teas, coffees and a selection of cakes is available throughout the day for you to enjoy in the privacy of your own room or in the main lobby by the gorgeous roaring fire.

We stayed two nights at Maison Favart for a weekend city break. It's in a great position near the Opera and with a Metro station 100 metres away. The rooms are quite small but not unusually so for a European capital. However, they are exceptionally well presented with nice decor, bed sheets, huge towels, generous size robes etc.
The bathroom was particularly nice with penty of room and a very powerful shower. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
It's not cheap but it is worth the extra and we would certainly come back.

Room Tip: All rooms are individual - we stayed in 45 which was very nice but not very large
