This hotel was far better than what I had expected for the price. The staff were friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There is a railway nearby but I was on the side of the hotel facing the street and didn't notice any noise whatsoever. The breakfast was standard continental fare. There's relatively little in the immediate surroundings, but there are good transport links. I would stay here again.

This hotel is ideally located. Not too close and not too far out from main tourist areas. I refrain from writing any bad reviews and if I'm being critical, this hotel was a little tired. It's close to the metro so you hear the trains constantly and in our room, the electric was working by some tape over the key switch which kept going off. I'm sure if we'd asked for another room it wouldn't have been an issue but first things first, we were given some tape & scissors to fix the switch. Now I wasn't dismayed by this but someone else standards may differ. It did not spoil our stay. The bed was comfy, the room clean and there are tea & coffee making faculties. On a room only basis, there is an option to purchase breakfast for 9 euro pp. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. There are plenty of nearby eating places if this isn't for you.
The hotel is situated just a few minutes from Rome Metro. As you come up from the Metro, cross onto the side of the road which also has 'Garage Parking'. Take the first road on the right and Rue de Berne is straight ahead!
Pleasant stay at this extremely friendly hotel but if you're looking for upmarket, you may want to consider somewhere else. Pluses are the location, the breakfast and the value. I would stay here again and recommend it if you want a bed for the night as Paris is not the place to stay too long in the hotel.

We booked this hotel as it was a ten minute walk to the opera area and the nice shops- Galleries La Fayette. The hotel is ten minutes on the metro from Gare Du Nord, great for those on the Eurostar. The hotel is tiny but the rooms are a good size for short city breaks. The room is clean and has a decent bathroom. This is what you pay for, nothing else. There is no one to take your bags to your room, no one to leave them in the luggage room etc, as you need to do this all yourself. The receptionist is there just to man the desk, each day there was a different person, and all of them looked bored. There is a nice bakery a minutes walk away from the hotel where you can get breakfast. I did not use the tiny restaurant in the basement.
Its expensive for what it is but it served its purpose. I would stay again but only because I am now familiar with the area and how to get around from there. Its a one minute walk from the Rome metro station which will get you to most of the sights.

I stayed in this hotel from April 17th to April 20th, 2013. I found it to be a very nice Parisian hotel. I loved the area because it was so pretty, in a lovely neighborhood and near a beautiful park. However, it is quite a walk to the top tourist destinations like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre museum or Arc de Triumphe but the metro is literally less than a block away. It is very easy and conveninet to get around Paris in the metro so we did not find the location of the hotel to be a problem. There is a very good French cafe on the same block as hotel which we loved. We found the breakfast in the hotel to be very good, especially the croissants which were amazing! The staff at front desk were friendly. Not overly friendly but helpful nonetheless. The rooms and bathrooms are very small though but that is to be expected in Paris. Honestly, who really spends that much time in the hotel room anyway other than to sleep? The highlight is Paris itself which is an AMAZING city and we can't wait to visit again! We stayed in room #68 and had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. That was an unexpected treat! Overall, I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room #68 has a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

This is terribly bad service hotel!! If you have a choice, do not book!! Staff in reception is terribly bad in service. Came back at night, key card not working, no one at service desk to assist. Stand there for 40min and finally someone turn up. Totally unprofessional!! Feel sad for the owner of this hotel as it will only get bad to worst!!

Room Tip: never choose this hotel

Stayed at this hotel, first time in Paris, primarily due to location, and price. The hotel is near Gare St Lazare which is a main railway station into main city and links with all the Metro lines. In actual fact, the hotel is close enough to walk into the city centre, which we did a couple of times, very pleasant if you have time. The room of course was quite small, as is fairly normal by European standards, but clean, and big enough for us - we were there to see Paris. Our room was out the back, but had a clear view of the Eiffel Tower. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was very satisfactory. Overall, very happy with our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms out the back overlook the railway, but are still quiet, and if up high enough, you get a view...

Booked three nights here as part of a Eurostar package. Selected the Premium room after reading other reviews. What a great choice! Room was spacious enough for our needs, the bed was comfortable and the facilities clean and all as described. Our room overlooked the road and there was no noise. The breakfast room was in the basement, a little cramped, and always seemed to run out of hot water for tea but otherwise good value for the 9 Euro per person offer price. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Location very good with 3 Metro stations within a few minutes walk.

Room Tip: Go for the premium rooms overlooking the road - worth the extra cost.
