Perreyve Hotel
Ranked #1,019 of 1,804 Hotels in Paris

Like all Parisian hotels, unless you want to pay through the nose, Hôtel Perreyve offers small rooms, at rather expensive prices.
The wifi didn't work, but in fairness, there being so much to do in paris, I was only there to sleep, so it was perfectly fine for that.
Close to Saint Sulpcie station, or if you have the time, around a 1 hour walk from Gare Du Nord. On the walk you pass by many sights as well, like the Lourve, Notre Dame and the St Germain shopping area. It was also walkable to Eiffel Tower (around 1 hour) and the catacombs.
Around the corner from teh Luxemburgh Gardens, which is a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by (or if you're so inclined, go for a run)

I have few expectations on 2 ** hotel rooms in Paris. This was the perfect example. You pay a lot for a small room that was not renewed for the last 20 years. Wallpaper was outworn, bathroom from the 70's, noise from the neighours and the hall, ... But the room was clean. Very thin windows too. I tried to open it, but could hardly close it again. Staff was helpfull and friendly, nothing to complain about. Most important for this hotel is the good location, close to the cosy streets of Saint Germain and the Saint Sulpice church.

I love the good two star Paris hotel, and the Perreyve is a prime example. Clean, cosy, and everything works. I stayed at Perreyve for a long weekend in February 2012. The bed was fabulous with good mattress and great sheets and ditto for the shower, which had great water pressure.

The three different people who staffed the front desk were each helpful when asked for directions.

Proximity to Luxembourg Garden is a prime feature. I recommend dinner at le Timbre, which is walking distance.

Hotel Perreyve is hard to beat at a great two star price.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks for work and the location was perfect. It is close to the RER B as well as the Saint Sulpice metro line. I had what the hotel considered a "new" room which had two big windows that opened up to the street. The area is quiet so that was great. The room itself was average, but it included a TV which got CNN (for an English speaking channel). Some good info to know: the hotel advertising free wifi, but the connection is poor. It also advertises breakfast, which is nothing more than coffee, OJ and a loaf of bread (literally). The staff was kind however, and brought me my coffee and steamed milk very quickly every morning upon request. The shower was pretty dismal as the curtain opened up into the bathroom so everything was soaked about every morning. The room would have been far too small for more than one person. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Paris during the warmer weather months and will only use it was a place to sleep and regroup. Otherwise, the Hotel Luxembourg down the street, while more expensive, is better if you plan on remaining in your room for any period of time.

Nice, clean, quiet little hotel 6 mins walk away from Rennes & St Suplice metro stn.
Had a twin room for 4 nights.
There are 2 supermarkets long Rue de Fleurs nearby, a fruit/grocery shop around the corner and a pastiserie up the road which sells lovely pastries for breakfast.
Luxembourg gardens are 4 mins walk away.
Large clean bathroom, with huge rainforest shower head.
24 hr reception, they speak english well.
However, you may need to take a metro to wherever you want to go

I have stayed at the Hotel Perreyve many times - I visit Paris often and it is the place I stay every time a go. Sure, there are drawbacks - the rooms are small and (although I have not stayed there since 2010) the rooms then were in need of renovation. It's true the bathrooms are "old school France" - ( tiny shower and tiny towels) - but when in Paris I never spend much time lounging in my room because - well, why would you? You're in Paris? But the rooms are always clean, the staff has always been super helpful and friendly to me, and the location is perfect. One block from the Luxembourg Gardens on a quiet neighborhood street. This is "old-school" Paris. Don't expect fancy, but this place is the real deal if you want to experience the real Paris.

Room Tip: Lobby floor rooms can be noisy - top floor rooms can be hot

I've stayed at the Hotel Perreyve on a dozen occasions over 25 years. It's a block from the Luxembourg Gardens and surrounded by some fine small cafes and shops. The Perreyve is nothing fancy. The rooms are generally on the small size and the bathrooms are not large either. Making up for size is the cleanliness of the hotel of its room, the friendliness of the staff and the price point. Right around the corner from the Perreyve is a wonderful old school cafe for breakfast and lunch. There's another cafe that's a little more cutting edge directly across the street. Metro stop is about five blocks.
We'll continue to stay at this nice little inn whenever we're in Paris.
