I found the hotel le Vignon through tripadvisor, if I'm not wrong and, after reading the reviews I decided to book it for my 01 night stay in Paris, after being in the Provence for 2 weeks - so it was kind of a "blind date'...but it turned to be a wonderful surprise! Very well located, clean, with good rooms - specially for a parisian hotel, nice breakfast and mostly important: super nice and helpful staff - specially Fabienne, that was in the front desk on the arrival date and helped not only us but also my brother that was staying in another hotel...unbelivable! And the price is super fair for that side of the river. i HIGHLY recommende it!

Room Tip: I stayed in the room 20 with my mother and my husband + 7 years old son in room # 31 - althouhg both...

Very Disappointed!
We booked this hotel for July 2012 and upon arrival were sorely
disappointed. This hotel appears worn, dated, and without up-keep.
Room furniture was cracked or broken, view was horrible, tile in
shower was cracked, carpets were dated, and hallway was dark and
scary. The room lacked décor and basically had a drab, second-hand
consignment store feel to it.

Let me start by saying I have been to Europe at least a half a dozen
times and stayed in Paris once before, so I feel my expectations were
realistic, but even so, I was very disappointed with this hotel. I
will breakdown my comments below.

While it is an overall nice area where the Madeline is located with
shopping, pharmacies, etc, the neighborhood seems to be deteriorating
and there are sex shops lining the street/block this hotel is on.

While the lobby was pleasant and gave a good first impression, we took
the elevator to our room which opened to a dark, claustrophobic
hallway painted in deep, deep pink with dark maroon edging.

The room was dated and showed obvious signs of wear and decay.
The plastic/lacquer side tables were riddled with chips, the walls
were scuffed above the headboard.
The carpet was a multicolored mess that had definitely seen better days.
The bench at the foot of the bed was so rickety we were afraid to put
a suitcase on it, much less sit on it.
The glass table had a corner that was clearly broken off.

The view (or lack thereof) was of industrial rooftops and air
conditioning units and other buildings. I believe other reviewers have
posted them on this site.

The bathroom was more updated with recessed lighting with large
counter space and even a towel warmer. However, but even these
improvements were done in a shoddy fashion. There was a large crack
down the tile where the showerhead was retro-fitted and looked like it
was going to fall out of the wall any second.

The wardrobe was small and there was no place to hang clothes since
the entire bottom of the closet was taken up by the fridge that
constituted the “mini-bar.” There was a safe in the room, however, it
was quite small and only big enough for wallets/passports. Usually I
can store my cameras/Ipads in the room safe, but not here.

The flat screen TV only received 2 or 3 channels and only those in
There is no free wifi,

To be fair, the breakfast room was nice, neat, clean and offered a
good assortment of foods for a “continental” breakfast. No complaints
here. Also, the staff was very polite, helpful and professional. No complaints there either.

In the lobby there is a computer to use, but you must go to the desk,
get a “code” punch it in (on a French keyboard which take a little
longer if you are not used to one) and then you are on the internet –
again with a very slow connection. After 15 min it times you out, you
loose your work and you must go to the desk and get another “code.”
Rediculous. And for all this they were charging over 300 Euro/night!

We checked out and found a lovely Best Western a block away that was infinitely newer, larger, cleaner and nicer, with a
lovely view and free WiFi, unlimited access to a computer in the lobby
– ALL for a full 100+ euro less per night than Hotel Vignon!

This hotel was in a lovely area of Paris, just round the corner from the madelaine. We had a good sized room and bathroom with White Company toiletries. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a great choice of restaurants and cages nearby so we chose to eat out as that's part of the fun in Paris.

Perfect location. Metro 3 minutes. Roissybus 10 minutes. Hotel staff wonderful. Rooms immaculately clean. Our room 54 was spacious though clothes storage limited because refrigerator was in wardrobe. Ceiling height low 2.1M. Access corridors dark pink paintwork claustrophobic feeling. Did not eat in Hotel as numerous alternatives in surrounding area. Would definitely return but request a room other than floor 5 or 6.

Room Tip: If you are taller than 6 feet (1.82M) avoid rooms on 5 and 6 floors

We stayed here for three nights and the staff was welcoming, knowledgable, and friendly. The room was spotless, and well appointed. The street noise was noticeable, but hey, it's Paris after all...you're going to have big city noise. The location is fantastic, with tons of great shopping; chains, mega-stores, boutiques and everything in between. Great accessibility to Metro and buses. A good place to stay if you've never been to Paris before and want to be in the middle of the shopping universe.

The hotel is located in a Madeleine area, very chic - suitable for those who likes to shop!
We arrived very early morning, around 8 am and the front desk were very warm.. I have been to Paris many times, never before the front desk greeted my this nice.
Hotel room was as expected - small... but suprisingly the toilet is very spacious!
Interior of the room and hotel is modern, chic - just what I wanted..
The room is clean.

The only downside is the view... or lack of it! As we only have small window facing inside... nothing to see basically, but if you have the whole Paris to see outside... you don't need nice view from your room :p

Room Tip: Ask for room with view to the street!

Good transport links with the metro and open top bus tour. The staff were very friendly and helpful, all spoke English. Rooms were clearnly kept and comfortable. Breakfast sufficient, but for EUR 20 you can expect a bit more variety. Wifi cost was not included to the fare. Access to internet a bit of a problem.
