Would stay here again any time, everything about the hotel was great, decor, rooms and the staff, room 605 has an excellent view of the Eiffel Tower, the location is also very good to access many metro stations, Gare Du Nord and within 10 minutes walking distance of Hard Rock Cafe, moulin rouge and more.

The hotel is clean and welcoming, unlike the area it is situated in. We didn't try the Chinese massage over the road!

The area isn't that bad, it's just that you wouldn't want to hang around there.

The breakfast is hearty and will set you up fot the day

I cannot think of one thing at fault with this hotel. I travelled to Paris with my mother in March and got a great deal through Eurostar. I chose this hotel because it was close to the Gare du Nord (I was conscious that we would be tired after our 5.45am train!) and it also had fantastic ratings on Trip Advisor as well as being very reasonably priced. I also chose it because it meant we wouldn't have to make any complicated changes on the metro to get to Versailles (our planned visit for the second day of our trip).
We were welcomed warmly by the receptionist who spoke perfect English thankfully as our French is passable but not perfect. This lady was very friendly and polite as were all the rest of the staff also...they always greeted us pleasantly as we left and returned to the hotel throughout our trip. Their service was very much appreciated as they instantly made us feel relaxed and at ease.
The room was lovely....comfortable beds, clean and pleasantly decorated. The decor gave it a nice homely feel which many hotels are sometimes lacking. The shower was also powerful and with plenty of hot water. The iPod dock was also a great little touch. We had a twin room which was situated on the 3rd floor facing the street and we had a view from our window of the Eiffel Tower and the back of the Opera House which was delightful. I was worried that the proximity to the road would cause a disturbed sleep having just spent a night in London where we had experienced just that but by night the road was quiet and the room was adequately sound proofed so we both had a good night's rest.
The hotel also offers room service with the menu's on the sideboard as well as a breakfast option for 14euro extra per person, this is something we didn't opt for as we felt we wouldn't get our money's worth not being big eaters so we ate breakfast in a small cafe just outside the metro station. There's a nice selection of cafes and bistro's close to the hotel just a walk down the road, there's also a shop diagonally opposite for any essentials you might need.
The area felt safe and we had no concerns walking out at night, in fact we spent our first evening in Montmartre for dinner and simply got the metro back down to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette station which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the 'Notre-Dame-de- Lorette' metro station as well as 'Le Peletier' and a simple 10 mins walk from the Gare du Nord straight down the Rue de Mauberge. It's also not far from the Opera Garnier (a must see location). The 'Notre-Dame-de-Lorette' station was useful for going straight up to Montmartre as it is on the same line as Abbesses.
If you get the chance and fancy a quaint Parisien shopping trip just walk down the Faubourg Montmartre (5 mins from hotel) and visit the lovely shops inside the 'Passage Jouffroy' and 'Passage Verdeau' which are lovely arcades like the Galerie Vivienne (but less touristy and in fact much neglected) from the Second Empire. We visited a comic book shop in Passage Jouffroy to buy a French 'Walking Dead' comic as a gift for my boyfriend...the shop was wonderful. There is also a chocolate shop on that road which has been open since 1769!
Along with the good location this is a hotel that won't disappoint...when I return to Paris with my partner I'll definitely being going back!

Room Tip: Request a room facing the street for the view of the Eiffel Tower, preferably higher up...and also s...

I have stayed at this hotel before on business and decided to return for my birthday this year with my husband.

We had told them it was my birthday and they gave us a lovely room on the top floor with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

The room was just a nice as before and my husband was really impressed with the value for money and the facilities in the room and bathroom.

Breakfast was perfect and set us up for a great day of sight seeing.

I will be staying here again.

This is a recently revamped hotel with simple but tasteful furnishings. It is extremely clean and the toiletries are organic. No wardrobe but plenty of hanging space. Free wifi and an ipod dock. The double glazing is excellent as there was no sound from the street at night. Every day from 12 noon there are free soft drinks and snacks in reception. We never had breakfast so cannot comment on that but it seemed popular. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good and we walked everywhere. The streets feel safe. It is easy walking distance to Gare du Nord.
If you are spending any time in Paris I recommend a day in Provins. Take the train from Gare de l'Est. The journey is about an hour. The town is a Unesco World Heritage site and well worth the journey. Trains are about one an hour and the cost for a return ticket is 22 euros.

Room Tip: we were on the second floor. There is a lift. Our room faced quite a busy street but there was no...
