My partner and I just finished a three-day stay at the W Paris - Opera hotel. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best W hotel in the world!

The location can't be beat. Right next to the Opera house, right on a Metro stop, just down the street from Hermes. Who could ask for more?

The highlight of the weekend was the concierge Cecile. She was helpful, fun to talk to, and even took my partner to a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week while I was at work. She suggested a restaurant that ended up being one of the best places we've eaten in the city (and we've been to Paris many, many times). If you get a chance, it's called Pamela Popo.

The view from our room looked right onto the opera house. Amazing!

I will never stay anywhere else in Paris!

I stayed here with some colleagues on a one day business trip. To say we were unimpressed is an understatement.
When we first arrived we were lured in by the shiny lights and homemade iced tea.
Safe to say our awe didn't last very long.
What ensued was a 24 hour headache as every corner turned introduced us to new sights and sounds - which out brains could barely handle.
The downstairs areas (the bar) had the feel of a cheap Ibiza club.
The rooms, whilst clean and comfortable, were badly lit and also seemed to have been constructed with the motto 'the brighter and louder the better' in mind.
We were privileged enough to be taken on a client lunch to the Hyatt - and this was a breath of fresh air. Of course, it caters to a different market however it made us think that if you can afford it, go with the reputable hotel as sometimes the risk of staying in a quirky boutique, doesn't pay off.
The only consolation was that the staff were super friendly and attentive - although they kind of had to be, when they were charging £78.00 for eggs and bacon for two people.
Wont be rushing back there in a hurry.

Location of hotel was perfect, close to a lot of sights and shopping. The W was excellent - rooms were very nice, bar was nice and trendy, the hotel had a great a great ambience and each member of staff we encountered were first class from concierge to porter to bar staff. Will definitely return!

Looking back through our photos from Paris and looking back and remembering what a wonderful time we had. Paris is a magical city that is equally fascinating and beautiful. Our memories of the W Hotel are wonderful and its location is perfect for anyone visiting this city. The service is impeccable from check in to the staff at the bar but it the service of their own concierge and Cecile’s knowledge combined with her style is perfect for visiting this city. The bar is fun and inviting and cocktails are stunning!

A perfect location to see Paris…but a few days is not enough to see it all as every corner you turn you get immersed in its culture, style and perfect design.

Dear Asnldjn,

Thanks for such a nice report on your experience at the W Paris Opéra. Stay tuned, we have a solid events programming whether we rock the scene with DJs and live bands (only yesterday we had STS from NYC and Simsima who both Ignited the Light of the 2nd night of the Fashion Week) or we set the platform for great Fashioners and Designers... @wparisopera (tweet)

Please check our social media hub and let me know when you need to book your next stay.

Have a fantastic day

Olivier

I just stayed at the W Opera for the first time (I stayed at the Westin before this opened). No need to talk about the location; easy for the Metro, RER and shopping at La Fayette!

Ok, the reception area is a bit small, but seriously, if you like hanging around hotel lobbies, you really need to remind yourself that you are in Paris.....
Rooms are quite nicely laid out with lots of things concealed in the walls (pull down suitcase stands etc.) so it doesn't take up too much space, and a mini-bar which is on a tray essentially.

I echo what the other reviewers say; it is the staff that make this special. On arrival, we were offered coffee and water. When my flight was delayed and I needed to stay and extra night and get a taxi at 4am, no problem. It was really nice to be welcomed at the door with a smile, and greeted every morning. You may think this is nothing, but I have stayed in alot of hotels (and I am a SPG Platinum member) and you are sometimes met with a surly attitude (W Boston, anyone???).
It is also nice that the staff, male and female, are so damn attractive too.......

Only slight negative point: the rooms are quite strongly perfumed. Less is more in this respect.

I will be returning soon!
