Take a metro or bus from downtown to this very good and interesting zoo. There is also a nice park with ponds on the way from the metro station to the zoo entrance.

Take good shoes there will be lots of walking. The animals are gathered in a geographical areas with a lots of space to live. Most of the species that you would expect to see are there. The artificial mountain in the middle of the zoo is quite a spectacular. A couple of restaurants and coffees are scattered around.

Animal lovers, go to see the zoo in Paris,It will remind you of the Bronx and Queens zoos in NYC,but you are in Paris! You will encounter a nice tropical forest area, with birds. In my case, it was a little rainy, and early,so wait to go in the sunshine and later in the day. You will also see a gift shop with adorable animally items, sales benefit animals. There were a few wooley monkeys, and I saw the feeding time. Amazing, were the hugh sea creatures that look halfway seals, walrus, or whale.I don't know the name but they were in an aquarium...
It is a long walk around, so have time for this zoo.Easy by bus 46,if you find it .

The Paris zoo is not the biggest zoo I have been to but it is a very good zoo. Good place to spend a few hours for the kids and makes a nice break from the Paris museums and sightseeing for them. There is a good variety of animals and every hour there is an animal feeding which is quite interesting to watch. Not worth going if you have only 2-3 days in Paris but if you are here for some time and have kids, then definitely plan a visit there

Paris Zoo in bois de Vincennes is a modernized zoo. The animals all have great space, which is beautiful.

However there are only a few animals to see and not only due to the winter.9

We went on a Sunday and it happened to be drizzling and there were hardly any people so we had the zoo to ourselves . Our son loved the hours we spent there and the food in the restaurants is ok. The animals seem to be very well kept
