An excellent museum that makes you realise just what riches were owned by the French Royal Family prior to the Revolution - many of which were acquired by the founders of this museum.
It is well laid out with a very good audioguide (included in the entrance price). How sad though.

Filled with exquisite furnishings and antiques, this mansion off Parc Monseau is not to be missed. The family's history and their tragic fate lends an aura of pathos to the building and collection.

This is an usual house museum established by a wealthy Turkish Jewish family that emigrated to Paris in the 19th cent. Fascinating story, great collection and exquisite setting overlooking Parc Monceau yet ending tragically for the family in WWII. Just getting to Parc Monceau and seeing the house's relationship w/ that 19th century planned residential open space is rewarding.

This home was built in the 19th century and is furnished with 18th century furniture. This is well worth a visit and is approached across a quiet park.

What a generous gift to a Nation, only to be met with the extermination of a Family. Like the Phipps Museum in New York City, Winterthur in Wilmington,Delaware, The BArnes in Philadelphia,The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in N.Y.C.and countless other structures donated to their Nations by philanthropic people, The Comondo Family has left us with their home and a view into a life that has past. This is a must see place ,and think for a moment that the unspeakble happened in the most sophistocated place in the world. NEVER AGAIN ,we must all say.
