“Great stay in paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

Staying at Monna Lisa made our first trip to Paris so memorable. The things that stood out:
Location was Perfect! Right near 2 metro stations (Franklin d Roosevelt stop is more useful). Right off the champs élysées. Short walk to arc de triumph and to many great restaurants. You can even wander the smaller streets around the hotel (and off the touristy area) to find some great cafes and eateries. The hotel is also next door to a supermarket, so you can get snacks and drinks.
Staff was wonderful and helpful. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They're english is very good (though I tried to speak my minimal French). And they had some great recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood.
Rooms were great. Modern, boutique style. Not huge but very spacious for a couple. Free wifi was great. Clean rooms, although some signs of mold in the shower always bothers me and my OCD. The free coffee in the lobby was so delicious!
I highly recommend staying here for your trip to Paris. The online room rate was better than anything else i could find for its value. Very easy to take the metro To all central Paris sites.

Room was extremely small, with the toilet oddly situated in a tiny small room (enough for the toilet, but that's about it. There was no fan above the toilet as well.) This does not help when there is no air circulation in the room as well. Location was central to Champs Elysees and the subway (FDR stop).

Staff did not have much to suggest in terms of food recommendations. When a request was made for a dinner reservation (hard to make when the restaurant is speaking to you in French), there was no follow up comment from the front desk on the reservation. Additionally, upon checking out, we were billed for bottles of water taken from the room. We insisted that we did not take the water as we bought our own water from the market down the street. The front desk argued that we took it and even checked with the maid. A little absurd for a hotel chain to be arguing for bottles of water and pulling the maid out for verification. I believe the maid got confused with the room next door, but there was no sort of apology, except "We will check with mgmt."

Great hotel--the staff is wonderful, the location is great (about four minutes from the Champs de Elysee), the price is far better than anything on the Champs de Elysee, the room quite comfortable. The one item that makes it almost perfect is the amount of street noise heard in the evening. My room overlooked rue de La Boetie, which became rather noisy late at night. If you are a sound sleeper, this is a great hotel; if you are not, be warned a bit. To be fair, I might have been visiting on a uniquely loud night, but it did detract from the visit.

We stayed for several nights and enjoyed the location and comfort of the hotel. Decent sized room, comfortable firm bed, lovely French balconies, extra set of double pane windows recently installed to block noise from the street. yet there was no air circulation in the room, none at all. We fiddled with the thermostat, but nothing changed. It was fine to open the windows on these cool fall days, but at night the street was too loud to leave the windows open.
There are rental bikes on the street, a small supermarket next door, and a metro stop nearby (though we walked or used taxis). The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the cleaning service was good. Complimentary espresso and tea are available 24/7.
The temperature and humidity of the room was bothersome to me. I hope they consider dehumidifiers and fans for the rooms perhaps.

This hotel is one block from the Champs Elysees. We had a suite on the top floor complete with balcony overlooking rue de La Boetie. Kind of expensive for us, but I thought the extra cost was worth it due to the size of the suite and the airy balcony. We asked for ice and got just enough to get by, but I would've liked more. We were able to park our car two blocks away for $20 USD per night which I thought was very reasonable.

Room Tip: If you have a car and want to park it and forget it, ask the desk clerk for a nearby garage that wil...

We were satisfied with this hotel. The front desk was helpful. The room was clean and modern but it was small. At times it became too close for comfort when the other person was using the toilet. I am sure this hotel had the slowest elevator in Europe and there are only 6 floors! Location was good, though, with many brasseries nearby. The Champs Élysées and L'Arc de Triomphe were within easy walking distance. The metro is very close and there is also a supermarket a few buildings down. Wi-fi was free. We did not have their breakfast as we thought it was a bit pricey and breakfast was easy to find nearby. If you can get a good price, then it's a good choice.
