“Good budget hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

The hotel is similar to Premier Inn in the UK. For a 3 star hotel it has everything that you need. Modern bathroom with good pressure in the shower (always a must for me!!). The rooms were clean and housekeeping always cleaned the room regardless of when we went out for the day. There are tramps outside, but then again, you are in the centre of a Capital city, but they don't bother you at all. The fact that it is right next to the Metro was a massive bonus. Great place to stay, as it is close to Montmatre as well as a 10 minute metro ride to the main attractions

Room Tip: Back of the hotel has no road going past

This hotel was exactly what I needed for my short Paris trip in September 2012. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious and most importantly the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. They went out of their way to help out. The hotel is also right next to a metro station and a bus stop, so getting out and about is very easy. Highly recommended (if you just want a clean quiet place to stay at).

Room Tip: This is a 3 star hotel and although it is a very good one, do not expect it to be at the level of 4...

Downstairs look modern, but upstairs is outdated. Tiny room with good beds. Very convenient parking in garage underneath hotel. Hotel is right next to the boulevard peripherique. Metrostation is only meters away. So, the hotel is ideal for a few days in Paris

The area was a bit dodgy, but with enough vigilance it was bearable!

Very close to the metro which was VERY frequent ... The room was lovely with a view of the sacré coeur ... The breakfast buffet was lovely ... The movies were only 2.50 each ... It was excellent! I'm going back in march! :)

One of those hotels that disappoints - the reception is the nicest part; the rooms are poor. Like others who stayed here, there were ants in my room; there was a serious draught under the window making it unpleasant to work at the desk; bathroom was generally shabby and the wifi was slow and I couldn't listen to the radio on the internet. Most of my colleagues made similar points - not all had ants. I don't like my card being charged in advance; most business hotels happy to take an imprint and pay at the end.

Breakfast was a buffet 13€ with very little of note except the hot foos which seemed to just be eggie bread, that French delicacy. The only toilet for the bar and restaurant was a bedroom on the first floor, key from reception.

The special rate my company negotiated 129€ was more expensive than the internet rate on the night. For 129€ in Paris you can stay in a decent hotel. Good points - comfortable bed

I have chosen the location based on the requirements of my business trip. It is not a place that I would recommend for a romantic getaway. On one corner of the hotel there was a group of homeless people who had their improvised shelters, on the other young prostitute was offering her services. At least the hotel is really closed to the metro station. It is a huge concrete building, more a place to sleep for a night than to enjoy your stay. Vending machines in the lobby are the only noticeable décor in a lobby that brings memories of a student dormitory.
The hotel was clean but rundown with plaster falling from the walls in staircase, chairs with straw seats or half-attached toilet seat. However I must say the bed were comfortable. There was a little problem with a light switch located exactly over my head which made me switch on the light every time I moved a pillow but this was quickly resolved by moving a bed. I did not find very classy a note that I will be charged for every stolen pillow but maybe that is an important issue in the hotel.
It is funny that they were able to print a reminder that stealing is not a good thing but were not able to print “do not disturb” and on the first morning the cleaning lady simply entered my room before 9 a.m. (Yes, there was a chain on the doors, once, and only a sad part was dangling from the side.
The major point I found about the hotel was breakfast which I found extremely disappointing. All industrial – packed cheese, ham-substitute should be banned in France. There was not a single hot dish, machines were delivering hot chocolate without chocolate (water) and even hot water was put in a jugs formerly used for coffee which was adding a distinctive flavour to the tea.
This hotel should be considered two stars maximum but if you get a good price it is clean and close to the metro station.

My wife and I had the privilege to stay in this hotel for three nights. Check-in was easy as the staff spoke English like a native. They were very courteous, helpful and well-trained. The courtesy they exhibited permeated throughout the entire hotel personnel that I encountered.

The room was pretty much standard European size, but modern, clean and very well maintained. Wi-Fi was available in two speeds: slow (free) and fast (fee). The slow variety was fast enough for loading Internet pages without problem, but I lost my connection when trying to make a call via Wi-Fi. Unlike some places I have been, there were enough electrical outlets to recharge all my devices at one time. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have encountered in a hotel.

I especially liked their dedication to keeping Paris green. They had a lot of advice in their hotel guest folder which they keep on the desk in the room. While it was self-serving in many ways, it was good advice that I plan to carry to all hotels and even to home.

We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning. The coffee was very good, the croissants were excellent, the fruit was fresh and the cheeses were wonderful.

The location of the hotel was both good and less-than-good. The good part was that the hotel was right across the street from a Metro stop (giving access to the entire city of Paris in only a few minutes). But the neighborhood seemed to be a bit rough. It was not seedy, but it just seemed a bit rougher than other parts of Paris we visited, hence the four circles of excellence rather than five. Still I felt quite comfortable roaming around the neighborhood with my wife during the hours of darkness.

All-in-all, I liked the hotel and would definitely return to it if given the chance.
