Stayed two nights Friday to Sunday. Room not particularly clean on arrival but leaving a few Euros fixed that the day after. Very noisy even during the night, but most of the noise was from the city/street itself. The reception was polite and spoke English. The location of the hotel was super. Two metro stations very close by. Gare du Nord within walking distance (we did the walk with suitcases in 15 minutes). Also relatively close to Sacre Coeur (North) and major shops (Lafayette etc, South). We didn't try the breakfast. Hotel a bit worn down but it was cheap and for Paris not bad at all. We had a super time.

Was booked to stay two nights but decided to move when we saw the condition of the hotel which was in need of repair and everything was very worn and not particularly clean. We stayed one night and couldn't sleep because of the noise from the next room. Picked up the phone to reach the front desk and it didn't work. Was going to go to the lobby but decided against it as I didn't feel it would be safe. There's something funny going on at this hotel. When I checked out the next morning my wallet went "missing" . Asked to view the security tapes and was told the manager would arrive in 15 minutes. An hour later and still no show. Called back twice more and was given various excuses. Watch the man who loiters at the desk chatting with the desk clerk during check-in/outs. Plus it is NOT easy to walk to the different sites of Paris from this hotel.

We stayed for a week in this hotel in June 2010. Acoustic insulation is poor, we heard every door close ,every step of our neigbours and every conversation. That was really annoying and irrittating.
Breakfast was poor. Elevator is really very small. Housekeeping was not bad though.
No wi-fi available, some connection problems all week.
The only good thing about this hotel is location. 15 mintues on foot to Opera,

We stayed four nights here while in Paris. It was advertised as a three star; however, there seemed to be other hotels we came across that appeared better with less stars. It is in a decent area, the 9th arrondisement, and close to the "Passages" or shopping areas, the metro, and wonderful restaurants. The room was very sad. It's the only way to describe it. It seemed more like a hostel. Pros: There was a fridge and a nice working heater, and hot water. The beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast. Cons: Tiny elevator, worn looking carpets, overused and worn out blankets, tiny t.v. in the corner, thin walls (we had a neightbor bang on our door yelling for us to turn down our t.v. which was not up that loud). Quality of staff - mediocre. Very slow internet and charged per the hour.

First of all, if you arrive at Gare du Nord, don't bother taking a taxi. It's a short walk and you won't be stuck in a cab with a furious taxidriver... Welcome to France !
We stayed for two nights in this hotel and were lucky that we had a room with four beds whilst we were only two. The electric socket for the shaver wasn't working, but hey, we're on holyday. Breakfast is "French". In other words, a croissant and something that's suppose to be a pistolet and a small selection of cheese, marmelade.
Location isn't bad, only a short walk from the Louvre and some restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's also in a quiet street.

Whilst its true that this hotel is a little rough round the edges - the carpets could do with being washed/replaced, as could some of the curtains, and some of the electrics look a bit dodgy - overall this was an ok place to stay. The rooms are a little small, but I think that's normal for Paris. However, they were clean and the beds were comfortable. It's true that the lift is a bit of a joke - I took one look and decided I would prefer to lug my bags up three flights of stairs!
It looks as if they have done a bit of refurbishing as there was a new TV on the wall, and what looked like a new air-conditioning unit (which was quiet and very effective!)
There was also a safe and a fridge in our room. Breakfast was nothing special, but perfectly adequate - croissants, breadrolls, yoghurts, fruit and cereal, along with the usual beverages.
The truly great thing about this hotel is the location. Just round the corner from a metro stop, 10 mins walk from Monmartre and about 15 mins to the Louvre. I would say that if you aren't too fussy and want a base that is clean, safe and central then this hotel is ideal.

Considering that this was one of the more expensive 3* hotels of the choice I had I wish I knew where my money went because it certainly wasn't back into the hotel.
We arrived early and were informed that the rooms were not ready however we could leave our luggage and were then dismissed.
When we returned we squeezed ourselves into the worlds smallest lift, which allegedly takes 3 people(!) and made our way to our room.
This too was the smallest double room I've ever seen. At first I was unsure as to where the en-suite was or could be and then I found it, hidden in what I can only describe as a cupboard. The shower had no curtain so the bathroom became a swimming pool after showering and because of this the room constantly smelt of damp.
The wallpaper was also peeling off due to the damp and the general decor left a lot to be desired. There was a little pointless fridge in the room. But at least the bed was comfortable
My partner wanted to borrow an iron and board and was informed that there was no board but not to use the table in the room so maybe iron on the floor?!
On closer inspection of the room it is in desperate need of a refurb, everything is old and tatty and flaaing apart and not that it's important but surely if you have a television in the room and advertise it as so then it should be tuned in and working?
Some of the staff were lovely and friendly, others were quite rude and off hand. We wanted to use the telephone that was in the room to make a booking and everytime we tried it it gave out an engaged tone. Figuring that something was wrong my boyfriend went to reception to see if there was another phone only to be informed that the lady on reception would now turn it the phone on?
Breakfast was ok depending on what time you arrived and the breakfast staff were lovely.
Overall if it weren't for the location I would be wanting my money back. I will not be using nor recommending this hotel to anyone.
