Really nice boutique Parisian hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Hotel Pont Royal for 3 nights on a long weekend exploring Paris at the start of November.

We had a very friendly welcome in the hotel and all of the staff throughout the hotel were the same. It made a pleasant change from being out in cafes and restaurants in Paris considering the rudeness of many of the staff there, maybe it's because we are English.

We were upgraded from a classic room to a superior room on arrival and it was perfect for our needs. Plenty of little extras like international TV, bath robes, slippers and mini bar etc. The bed and pillows were so comfortable as well and all was very clean. We had a nice street view with balcony, although after returning home realised that if we were a little higher would've had an even better view of the Eiffel tower and Sacre coeur.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel although after having a little nosy at the breakfast room wish we had, it looked beautiful. Also we didn't use the bar as we were always out around Paris but this also looked very good.

The hotel is in a great location, easily walkable to the River Seine and Musee D'orsay, we made use of the easy to use and cheap metro which the Rue du bac station is just a minute walk (you can use 1 metro ticket which costs Euro1.70 to get anywhere in central Paris)

One negative was departure day when we had booked a taxi back to the airport which the concierge said would be approx Euros 50 - 60. The meter was already on 12Euros when we got in despite us being there bang on time for when we booked it at 2 o'clock, and when we asked for it to be reset as we had just got in, he said it's the same all over Paris if you book through the hotel they start 10mins (I highly doubt that) & he was very rude about the whole situation. It ended up being Euros65.

All in all we had a fantastic stay in Paris and would definitely stay in this Hotel again if we were to come back to the city.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for four nights. First, we LOVED the location! You were a stone's throw away from the Louvre, among other museums. I also loved the St. Germaine neighborhood with all of the stores and cafes. The location really makes this hotel a great one. We loved the hotel as well - our room/bathroom was a very nice size, we had a nice view and overall found the hotel to be very charming. Our rate included breakfast which was great. We used the concierge, specifically Xavier, a few times for dinner recommendations. He made great recommendations and went the extra step to make the reservations for us. One of his recommendations, Le Christine (about a 15 minute walk from the hotel), was the best dinner we had in Paris! Thank you Xavier! Everything about this hotel was great until our last morning. We flew home through CDG and our flight was an early morning one. We spoke with the front desk the day before to ensure the time we should leave and they said getting a taxi would not be an issue the following morning. Well, we checked out and the hotel called us a taxi. It took 35 minutes for the taxi to come! The gentlemen working at the front desk assured us we would be fine, that the airport would not be that crowded. He was wrong. The line for United was 200-300 people deep. We had to rush through the airport...just not a great way to end a great vacation. Other than this small snafu, this hotel was a great one and we would highly recommend it.

This is the best Parisian hotel we've ever stayed in. What a wonderful experience - fantastic location, brilliant rooms and the best staff (extra bonus points to Christophe, the concierge, who saw to our every need with patience). Every one was polite at my feeeble attempts to speak french and all spoke very good english. The cocktails in the bar are stunning and lethal - try the watermelon martini which is incredible. Breakfast is very good with lots of options. Want a well situated hotel on the left bank close to St. Germain? This one is definitely the one to stay at.

Great location, good standard, clean and silent rooms with comfortable beds makes a difference when you want to have a nice weekend in Paris. We got what we wanted and can really recommend this hotel. The breakfast was also ok, although at an extra cost. A plus that the rooms have free Internet.

A small hotel within walking distance from the Musee d'Orsay and the Pont Royal, just a stone's throw away from the Louvre, Musee Rodin etc. Also close to the Bon Marchee and other interesting shops.
The hotel has had some interesting famous guests from times gone by and there are some great photos on the walls.
The rooms are small to average size for this location but are clean and comfortable.
I had a look at the two suites and was very impressed with their size and stunning views of Paris.
The staff are helpful and will direct you to where you want to go and help you with local transport and timetables.
Breakfast was buffet style with views of the small garden.
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms are small to average size but I looked at two suites which were spacious with fabulous views of the Eiffel tower all lit up at night.
