I am glad we were only staying for one night as I did not like this hotel at all. Yes it was a great location but I have stayed at better 2 star hotels in France. I do not blame the hotel, I blame the travel agent we booked it through. My husband asked for somewhere a bit special for our anniversary and this is what they came up with.
Apart from the hotel we had an amazing time in paris but will be staying in another place necxt time!!

The rooms are small, the bathrooms are smaller, and the surroundings are noisy, however the location and the people more than make up for those short commings. The Dupliex Metro Station is right around the corner from the hotel but two full blocks away is the La Motle Picquet Grenelle Metro Station which has three different lines (the 10, 8, & 6). The street where the hotel is located is very convenient there is a great little market next door, several resturaunts, and a laundry mat. The people at the hotel were great they always asked us how our day was, offered suggestions of places to eat, and even found us a different hotel to stay at when I had screwed up the number of nights we needed to stay at their hotel.

This hotel was great! The rooms were small but clean. The bathroom was a good size and new. For the price, I was impressed. I have stayed in Paris hotel rooms before, and all are small, unless you are willing to spend big money. The staff was nice and spoke english. I felt safe in the area, and there were lots of stores and cafes near the hotel. The metro was less than a five minute walk. Also, you can see the eiffel tower from some of the rooms. Overall a great experience!

I think I read about over 100 different hotel reviews before picking this one. We were not looking for lavish hotels i.e. having chocolate mints on our duvet covers in the morning. We wanted a place 1. location that was convenient but also safe 2. affordable 3. a bathroom where at least i would feel cleaner after taking a shower in. I am usually VERY picky about hotels, but please keep in mind we were looking for a place where we could shower and sleep and be in and out of. It is paris; we wanted to see everything rather than be in our room. We did not need the extra space and all the extra amenities that you would go on for a honey moon. In that respect, this hotel was great for the price and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The candid pictures from the travelers on this website is very accurate in what our room looked like. We were a block away from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk from the eiffel tower. We went in the winter and booked directly through their site and got an extra 10% off. Total: 306 EUR tax incl. for 4 nights. Use Google maps! I used it to find this hotel and how it was in relation to all the locations we wanted to visit. It is awesome! Also try the french bakery. I can't remember the name but walk left when you come out of the hotel. I tried 15 different bakeries and this is THE BEST ONE.

My wife and I have just stayed in the Timhotel Tour Eiffel for seven nights in May. We found the hotel to be very acceptable for the price and we have to agree with the favourable comments of some of the other reviewers.

The hotel stands in a side road and it is just one minute's walk to the Dupleix Metro station. Most locations in and around Paris are therefore easily accessible in a reasonable time. The streets around the hotel contain many restaurants and brasseries that cater for all pockets and tastes. There are also many general stores, boulangerie and patisserie (bakers and cake shops) as well as many cafes, supermarkets and shops, and all are within a short stroll of the hotel. The hotel also stands just five minutes' walk from the embankment of the River Seine and much the same distance from the Eiffel Tower, the Ecole Militaire and the Champs de Mars.

The hotel itself is quite small - as are the rooms - but they are certainly comfortable and clean. All rooms have a TV, although there is no kettle or fridge. Our bathroom was small and I could only get into the shower by turning sideways and squeezing through the glass door ( anyone with a notable weight problem would certainly have trouble even getting into the shower! ).
We heard very little of other guests during our stay, except for some footsteps and shutting of doors when people were coming in at night. We certainly weren't disturbed at night as we have been in more expensive hotels, but that is more often down to pot luck. We had a room at the front of the hotel and the road outside was busy and noisy until about 11pm, after which it went very quiet for the rest of the night. We certainly slept well each night.
The staff on the 24-hour reception desk speak English and we found them all to be very friendly. There are no safes in the rooms, but there is one behind the reception desk and guests can deposit their valuables free of charge.
However, the one thing we wouldn't recommend about the hotel is the optional continental breakfast. This costs 8.50 Euros and it basically consists of just a croissant and juice. There are so many bakeries and stores nearby and we bought filled baguettes and hot bacon and cheese rolls every morning from a nearby kiosk. In the evening, you are spoilt for choice for dinner as there are so many restaurants in the area.

Do bear in mind that the Timhotel Tour Eiffel is rated as a 2-star hotel and it is priced accordingly. I have never really understood those people who are only prepared to pay a 2-star price and then turn their nose up and complain they didn't receive a 5-star service. Surely they wouldn't buy an old Vauxhall and then complain to everyone who would listen that it doesn't drive like a new Jag?
If you are looking for a 4 or 5-star luxury hotel then for Heaven's sake, go and pay a 4 or 5-star price! However, if you are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel where you can get a good night's sleep, then this one is pretty good. It's superbly located in central Paris and it's very good value for money. There are a lot worse around.

We stayed at the hotel over the Easter weekend. We absolutely loved the location, it was five minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower. Just walking around the corner from the hotel, we could already see the top of the Eiffel Tower. We also found it a good base for all the other attractions as well.
The hotel itself was nice.
It had a nice shower, though the bed itself was two singles joined together which we werent too happy about. The breakfast was abit expensive for what you got (only continental), but we tried a cafe around the corner and it was just as expensive so we went back to the hotel for breakfast the third morning.
Close to the metro which was great.
The staff were very helpful.
Overall we would stay there again because of the location, but the hotel itself was fairly average. Would recommend to those like us who only are going to their rooms at night after being out all day cause the price is reasonable for something that will just be a bed at night.

Great Location right next to the Duplex metro station. Small rooms, noisy at night, but this is Paris. Shower was great. Breakfast was reasonable. But it's the location that can't be beat, 5 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and next to the metro station. The open air market, held underneath the Duplex metro station on Wednesday and Sundays 10-2:00pm is huge (about 1/2 a kilometre long) and bargain prices are to be had on jewellry, clothes, scarves, shoes and of course the most fabulous produce, meats and breads you have ever seen. After much motioning (not a lot of english was spoken) at a fresh cheese and bread booth, we walked away with 2 large delicous baguettes filled with fresh cheese, produce and pickles, 2 for 5 euros, which we ate at the park near the Eiffel Tower. Absolutely super.
