The hotel is managed in a good way, i think the location is its great asset, because it offers on some side of the building a great view over Paris. They offer very good breakfast, the personnel are very kind. Regarding cleaness, it's fine. While the prices they are fine for Paria average more or less.

Our first night at a Tim Hotel was not good. They are definitely not all the same management. Then we found this wonderful little atelier room with a perfect view of all of Paris -- of course you must stay on the top floor. We had room 514. At night every hour on the hour, the magical Eiffel Tower turns from gold into sparkly little diamond lights for 5 minutes. What a treat! The room was very clean with coffee and tea in-room service, comfortable large bed -- but the VIEW! Also you are right next door to where Picasso painted, and up the street from the famous Monmartre Art Center and walkable to the magical Basicila Sacre Coeur -- an enormous beautiful church overlooking all of Paris -- you can also take an aerial tram to the Basilica. Also you are 3 or 4 blocks from the famous Moulin Rouge Windmill. Breakfast was great -- lots of food to get your day started. Dont miss the Louvre and Versaille. Soo much to see. And the Food! Fantastic little places everywhere -- you can picnic anytime and anywhere. The front desk staff of the Tim Hotel Monmartre so so great, and the best manager Sayeed -- we couldn't have done the trip without him. All of his recommendations were so over the top great that we will be back for our little room 514. Terrific rates and location for this Tim Hotel -- yay!

Room Tip: Top floor facing the Eiffel Tower. Great views!

Absolutely perfect location, Montartre is a great place to explore and provides something different to a hotel in central Paris. There is a great patessier across the road and there are excellent views over the road into the city centre! Metro a short walk away aswell as a number of other attractions! Hotel staff very friendly, would definitley return.

Room Tip: Higher is better, views are great.

This is one of those Parisian hotels that consider their location on a charming square in Montmartre compensates for the shortcomings in every other area. Well, it doesn't.

For their rate, 160€ a night, you can find a very decent hotel - even in Paris. This one, however, offers you minuscule rooms with tiniest shower I've ever seen. Not rooms nor the public areas have been refurbished for decades. Not even breakfast is included. All in all this hotel has a complete lack of style and ambiance.

You go to Paris to enjoy one of the world's most amazing cities. There is no reason to downgrade your trip by staying at this hotel. Even if you spend your days mostly outside the hotel you deserve more and can get a much better experience with less money elsewhere.

We stayed for 4 nights a the Tim Hotel and it is a very friendly and VERY conveniently located hotel. It is a block from the train station with direct connections to the Louvre and the Orsay, and you have to change trains once to get to the Eiffel Tower. From the hotel it is a 20 minute walk to the top of the hill in Montmartre (Sacre Coeur), but there's no way up the hill by metro, so the location of the hotel is VERY close. Moulin Rouge is less than 5 minutes walk.

There's also a Carrefeur and a Monop grocer nearby where we purchased some breakfast foods like yogurt and granola bars and left them outside our window on the ledge to keep them cold (it was winter). This helped save some $$.

The room is small - just big enough for a bed, and the bathroom is very basic. But it's quiet and we felt safe when we were there.

For about 1-2 blocks on either side of the hotel there are TONS of sex shops, but the area is well managed and as long as it's not too late, the area is still quite quaint. Walking for 3 minutes in either direction and you're back in the "Montmartre" you've pictured with romantic stairways and quaint shops.

If you want a convenient location with a lot of personality - this place is for you. If you want a nice big room with some pampering, you may want to keep looking.

This hotel is one of a chain in Paris. My daughter had stayed at the Gare de L'est hotel and was happy with it so we thought we would try the Montmartre one. It is in a lovely square, which is surprisingly quiet for the centre of Montmartre, and a 5 minute walk (uphill) from the Metro at Abbesse. On arrival, the reception staff spoke English so there was no difficulty with checking-in. Our triple room was compact, as was the shower room/toilet, but it was spotlessly clean and everything worked. We were "room only" - which was probably a mistake because we had breakfast each morning at a cost of Euros 13 each and I'm sure it would have been cheaper if we had gone b&b.

We were in Paris to see the sights and Montmartre, with Sacre Couer and Place du Tertre, was a great place to be based. We got passes for the Metro and used it to go everywhere. For a break like this, the Timhotel Montmartre was ideal for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely go back there if we were planning a similar trip in the future.

Room Tip: Would be nice to have a room overlooking the square.

I heard people complaining bitterly about their room but ours on the 5th floor was fine with good views. The shower room was rather pokey. I think this is just a Paris fact of life.

The location is OK but there were a couple of minor drawbacks. Taxis cannot go right to the door so you will have to carry your luggage up about a dozen steep steps from the road to the square where the hotel is situated. On the morning of departure it was impossible to get a taxi by phone. There were very long delays and we could not get one off the nearby street as cabs do not routinely go that way. In the end we had to drag our cases down to Place Pigalle, 12+ mins, and get a cab there.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors might be better
