I chose Relais Monceau because of proximity to the Camondo and Jacquemart-Andre museums. The room was very small; but that was expected. The dual sinks in the bathroom is a huge plus if sharing the room with somebody. Very clean and a fair value.

Really friendly hotel, eager to help, english speaking. Spacious rooms ( at least compared to another we tried!), well equipped.

Great breakfast spread, including bacon and scrambled eggs. Spacious eating area, we had long, relaxing breakfasts there.

Warm, looks like modern chic, but it entirely genuine! Clean.

Loved it.

Room Tip: Road outside is one-way and narrow, so very little traffic noise at all. We slept at the back and he...

Having read numerous reviews this hotel sounded just right for a long weekend break in Paris. Not too expensive, clean, well situated and with a good selection of restaurants and bistros within walking distance. That's exactly what we got. Audrey on reception was most helpful and always seemed happy to talk to us as well as ringing up restaurants to see if they had tables available. We had breakfast immediately opposite, with coffee and croissant at a total cost of 7 euro, it seemed much better value than the same breakfast in the hotel at approx £10 per person.
However I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a weekend break, just don't expect luxury but do expect good value, a good place to stay, a good area to be in and close to the metro. Such a hotel in Paris is a really good find.

Certainly not a 3-star. Price a bit high. As others have pointed out, rooms are simple. Clean. Bathroom ok. Quiet at night. Nice area. No traffic noise. Helpful staff. 5-10 min walk to Saint-Lazare train station and 5-10 min walk to Monceau Park.
Take advantage of the bakery/pastry shop right in front.
Great places to eat around Ave. de Villers/Rue des Dames/Rue de la Terrasse (5 min walk)

I scoured the internet looking for affordable boutique hotels in paris with very little success. luckily we discovered the Hotel Relais Monceau which fit our budget perfectly. Rooms were simple though the decor looked tired, though the bathroom looked like it had been recently updated and was more modern than the rest of the room. Beds were comfy and the noise level was kept at a minimum. Hot pot was a welcome touch for early morning rises. Some may find the rooms small, but that is the standard in Paris. There were two of us in a superior room and had no issues moving about. Wifi availability in the salon and first floor may be a pain to some, but I found it rather refreshing not having internet access on the 3rd floor - besides, you're in Paris! Location was just right with the Villiers metro stop (blue line) within a 2 minute walk. Did not have the breakfast so I can't comment on the offerings. Overall, a simple hotel with rooms perfect for getting plenty of rest before exploring the streets of Paris.

This hotel is perfect if you are looking just for a clean, quiet place to sleep at night. The cost is a bit high, but that's simply Paris.

Pros:
Clean
Quiet
Staff all speak decent English
Located very close to metro stop
Tons of places to eat right out the front door

Cons:
Cost
Wifi only in the lounge, not in rooms
Breakfast is mediocre and costs 13 euros
Staff sometimes seemed annoyed to speak English. Certain staff were outright rude at times.
Even local calls are charged a fee by the hotel
No additional amenities

I love this place, simple and quiet. I love the breakfast room, looking ona small inner garden. Rooms are not too big, but rather stylish and charming. Perfect spot for a short stay in Paris. Typical Fench style.

Room Tip: Ask if possible for a room on the inner side. Avoid the so called suite (ground floor close to the k...
