“Great Hotel”
Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was excellent. The location is very convenient with restaurants and bakeries nearby. The Eiffel Tower is a short walk from the hotel. The Champs-Elysees is also within walking distance. It is also easy to take Bus 69 to many of the other Paris attractions.

My husband, son and I stayed here August 8-12 and can't wait to return. The location of the hotel was excellent - on a quiet street but close to so many attractions and transportation. We had a delightful view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. The room was much more spacious than I expected for a Paris hotel. We all agreed that one of the best features was the room darkening shades. I usually have trouble sleeping on the road and had no difficulties here.

There are several bakeries and cafes within walking distance. We dined at a couple and were pleased on both occasions. The breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious and a great way to start our day. Christian and the other members of the staff were most helpful in providing directions, offering dining suggestions and making sure we felt comfortable and at home. Thank you - Hotel Relais Bosquet - for making our trip to Paris such a wonderful experience!

We (family of 3) stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very satisfied with the staff, the location, and the room. There were excellent restaurants and pastry shops nearby, and there was good access to bus and Metro. This hotel is walking distance to Eiffel Tower and other tourist "must sees." Street is relatively quiet but the room also had excellent sound insulation and blinds.

The Hotel Relais Bosquet far exceeded my expectations in every way. We switched to this hotel on the advice of Rick Steve's and we are so happy we did!
This is a quaint little establishment loaded with Parisian charm in the heart of the Rue Cler market district. The Eiffel Tower is literally only a few minutes' walk. In fact, we could see the top of it from our window.
The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate your needs.
Before arriving, I e-mailed them several questions about train and metro routes and they efficiently and happily mapped out metro and RER routes for me. This was an immense relief to me as I have never experienced train travel before.
They offer a delicious French breakfast in their dining room. We booked through Facebook and got a reduced Facebook Fan Rate as well as complimentary breakfast.
I hope to return to Paris in the future and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else than the Hotel Relais Bosquet.

We stayed at the Relais Bosquet August 1-5 and totally enjoyed our experience!!! Washcloths!!!! and an Ice Machine!!!! Little things these American tourists were excited to see. Besides those two things, the room was lovely and easily accessible after climbing numerous stairs and using awkward elevators at other hotels. Wonderful assortment at breakfast and the staff was very helpful. We easily walked to the Eiffel Tower and the Ecole Militaire metro was just a couple of blocks away. Only little problem was the duvet was too heavy for us, but they provided a sheet to use. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again!!!

Room Tip: loved room 6 as just steps from the breakfast area and looked out on terrace

We just spent several days at this hotel and were so happy with our stay. The location is wonderful and although close to many of the main tourist sites, it's on a lovely street that is quiet and safe. There are several cafe's on the same street which are good options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hotel staff was helpful with directions, planning excursions, etc. Our room - although small - was very clean and comfortable. Great shower and hair dryer. We even had a view of the Eiffel Tower which was a bonus. Will definitely stay here on our next tirp to Paris.

Hotel DID, in fact, have an elevator. For anyone having a wheelchair, there would have been NO way to maneuver it in room as it was very small and yet this was their handicapped room, which we did not specifically ask for. The twin beds were quite narrow and everytime we rolled over, we felt like we were going to fall out of bed.

We informed desk clerk that machine MUST be left on at all times and we were assured that it would be no problem; yet for the 1st three days of our stay, each time we came back to the room after housekeeping had been there, the machine was off. Again, we were assured that it would be taken care of, but no one would accept responsibility for shutting it off. It was not until the fourth day and only after we put tape across the switches in the room that they left it alone. Much anxiety for us.

The hotel's hair dryer had an element that was burning out so it was taken away from us but not replaced until the following day.

Bonjour

First of all know that in most hotels when you ask for a room with walk in shower and no stairs you will most certainely end up with a room located on ground floor and especially dedicated to disabled persons.

We have to provide as per law at least 1 of these rooms over 20 bedrooms.
When refusbishing these rooms those special amenities were double checked by an architect of course but also by a representative of the French state.

I am sorry but when you say that a person would not have been able to move around with a wheelchair I am sorry to say but this is not right.
A lot of guests already stayed in these rooms with a wheelchair and we never ever had any complaint about it.

The twin beds that we have are single beds just like in every hotel same category.
Our wireless network was entirely replaced a few months ago with the latest equipment and I am very surprised you could not get a clear connection but temporary wireless issues can happen anywhere.

We do apologize though about the incident with the breathing machine and are sorry that it went on and on. Of course this is a mistake from us but also certainly due to the fact that Europe is under permanent pressure in order to save energy.

Very best regards
Bertrand (the manager that gave you the tape) and Christian
