I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times for business and was always simply good. Nothing too exciting but excellent location, speedy services, clean. Last time I went there for pleasure and actually got upgraded to a suite - very nice. Only minus is that the breakfast costs EUR 25 per person which is totally ridiculous as it's not that amazing and you can get a coffee and a croissant around the corner for a fiver.

I have visited this hotel and others worldwide in the Millennium family many times and been completely satisfied and filed positive reviews Unfortunately this hotel has had a notable drop in standards. I had two double rooms on the second and fourth floors for two nights bed and breakfast. One room was tiny and we were told, owing to them being full there was no chance of changing to a larger room. Both rooms were tired and dated. The furniture was shabby and chipped and the room poorly designed. For instance the safe could only be accessed in the smaller room by lying on the floor. The bathroom furniture, taps showers etc were definately 1950s. At 236 Euros per night not good value.

But nothing prepared us for the breakfast. We arrived each morning at 9.0 am and it looked like an area of complete devastation. Diners had left and nothing was cleared. Typically on one morning there were no croissants, no orange juice but glasses. Next morning there was orange juice but no glasses. My wife asked a suited junior manager for a small spoon for a yoghurt and was told to go and find a waiter. The guests were walking around trying to locate cups, glasses, cutlery, food. What all these junior managers were doing is beyond belief. Diners were laying up tables themselves. The floors were dirty with spilt coffee, jam etc. A tour group had just left was the explanation. It was a disgusting site.

On check-out I mentioned to the receptionist the poor service at breakfast and she said she would make the General Manager aware. One look at the dining room is worth a thousand words. He should've been there. Clearly the Milleniium has upped its occupancy by selling to tour groups but this has been to the detriment of the independant traveller. There are plenty more centrally located hotels in Paris to choose from and it is a travesty to think this is awarded four stars.

Me And my wife just got married in the beginning of the month (May), and went to Paris the next day. We stayed at the Millenium Paris Opera for 7 nights. The front desk staff were very helpful at first and the check-in happened very fast and, even though there was a problem with our reservation, they managed to solve it promptly and efficiently. One thing that bothered me was that, even after saying that it was our honeymoon, we didn't get anything special. We stayed at the standard room, which was small, but cozy. They had window curtains that wouldn't really cover all the windows properly, so the room would get sunlight as soon as the sun started rising. Also our room would be hot all day long, no matter how the temperature was outside, supposedly due to a malfunction in the air conditioning system. The breakfast was very good, with a great variety of items to choose. I needed to print out a voucher for our next flight and the computers were down. Overall our stay was OK, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for special occasions, such as honeymoons or other important celebrations.

Dear Presper D,

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Tripadvisor. I would like you to know that, although not a written rule, we always try our best to give our guests a little "extra something" when they visit us on a special occasion (honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, etc.) - usually by upgrading them to a higher room category (when available) or at the very least by offering them a welcome amenity to be placed in their room before their arrival. Indeed, it is a shame that we have missed this opportunity to make your stay a truly memorable experience, and for that I am truly sorry. Aside from that, we have also noted the maintenance issues you have encountered and will propmtly act upon them.
Should you plan another visit to our city, whether on a special occasion, business trip or other, we would very much like to have the opportunity to welcome you again, so this time we can make your stay really special.

Kind regards,

Eli Lazovsky

A four day break in Paris at the end of April was truly brilliant and this grand hotel made the stay even more magical. Staff at reception were helpful and charming. The Brasserie, once we found, it did open in the evenings for meals, was delightful and made special by the attentive and helpful Karim. My Black Angus steak a masterpiece in culinary skills. We were on sixth floor, very quiet and you get sunshine all day plus a huge double bed which truly was one of the most comfortable. Hotel location is central for many attractions and easy to connect to the Gare du Nord (euro 7.5 taxi fare) and the metro (20 metres away). Situated on Boulevard Haussmann is very upmarket and there are many good eateries nearby. Our rating of four stars would have been a five if on the first day of breakfast someone had been on hand to quickly run us through the system - breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. We will return - hopefully next year - thank you!

Room Tip: Higher room avoid the traffic noise.

My husband and I went o a trip to Paris just after Christmas, since we were in Montreal, we selected this hotel, which was an excellent choice, the location could not be better , we had everything of our interest near by. The Opera house was just around the corner as well as the metro an the bus station.

We were holders of a Paris pass, staying at this hotel was also very convenient to take the hop on hop off bus.

The hotel is also a few steps from the Perfume, Chocolate and Grevin museums and Galleries Lafayette stores. This hotel is elegant, very clean, nice staff.

We had a problem in our room, the knob of the bathroom and also a nail from the carpet were loose, we spoke about the problem to the staff and they fixed rigth away.

We stayed in on of the rooms that gives to the interior patio of the hotel (nothing to see) that area is very quiet, we slept well, beds were very confortable.

We recomnend this hotel for the visitors. Our recommendation to the owners it will be to renovate (thinking about those visitors that are more demanding).
