Stayed for a weekend to watch the rugby and found it clean and modern when I arrived. It's a 5 minute easy walk from the Gare du Nord, which makes it a fantastic location for transport.
My room was small, as are a lot of hotel rooms in Paris, but as I was not staying in my room for 2 days that was not a worry! The extra 12 euro for breakfast per day was a bargain, as it was buffet style and delicious. Staff were unfailingly helpful, sorting my wifi and leaving bags on my final day. All in all I would recommend this hotel as a good budget option in central Paris.
To those who moan - wanting free breakfasts, fluffy towels and huge rooms for 100 euro a night - which century are you lot living in? The George V (or where David Beckham is staying at present) are both available for all that, but prepare to sell your house to pay for it all. Until then, quit grumbling and be realistic about hotel facilities v cost.
