“If you will book hotel check is this hotel renowating now.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

We used this hotel twice, nice place in the centre, good service. I booked this hotel for family trip and renowating in progress! Service is good , but rooms are old and bad. That's a pity. Don't make the same mistake. Good luck in Paris!

Dear client, thank you for your time sharing your experience with our community. We are glad & honoured you came twice visiting your hotel in Paris. You enjoyed the great location & the service which is very important for a hotel. The building was founded on the 17th century, with real stone-wall, with a Paris' authentic spirit & tradition. It is truely a charming boutique Hotel. We are completing new paintings & tapestries in your room. We will be glad to welcome you again showing you your charming new place. Sincerely yours.

A good value three star hotel in an expensive area of Paris. The room we had was on the 4th floor and was ideal. The room was clean and tidy, and the shower worked well and certainly refreshed you after a day tramping round Paris, whether you chose to have a hot or a cold shower! The breakfast was buffet style and there was certainly enough to keep you going through the day. The hotel does not provide evening meals, but we found plenty of restaurants and bars in the locality - we tried a different place each night, and at a range of prices - but doesn't expect cheap food in this posh part of Paris! Perhaps the cheapest places to each were the fast food outlets near the Arc de Triomphe, on the side away from the Champs Elysees. The staff at the hotel were really pleasant and helpful, and were very ready to answer questions. The hotel is within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and also the Trocadero, with the Champs Elysees just a little further away. We found that the Boissiere Metro station to be the nearest.
For a three star hotel, at this price, in the centre of Paris, we felt you couldn't go far wrong.
Any improvements? - Well tea/coffee making facilities would have been lovely, as would a second chair to sit on in the bedroom.

Room Tip: Our room was on the street side, which gave a pleasant and interesting view. We found it to be ideal...

Dear priviledged guest, thank you so much for your comment. It is important to us. You did enjoyed your bathroom, your buffet breakfast, your hotel location including lots of restaurants & bars, the hotel staff. We deliver tea, coffee, chocolates & breakfast in each room & a minibar with drinks & wines are also available. Concerning the second chair to sit in your room, we were completing a refurbishing. Of course, there are a minimum of two chairs per room. We even add an extra chair on request. Thank you for choosing us. We look forward to welcoming you again. Best regards.

We checked in oom 603. The room was described as Deluxe and unfortunately was anything but deluxe. The furniture was cheap and dated, the decoration appalling with butterflies on the wall. The shower room had no shower curtain and no drain on the floor as a result the water flooded the room. The toilet was separate.

The free wifi did not work. The receptionist had no idea how to make the wifi work or what the right password was.I was given the password of other rooms. The password meant to include the 5 first letters of a guests surname. I was give 4 different passwords, which means i was essentially given 4 guest names. This is a major breach of data protection. All receptionists that we dealt with were unprofessional and at a loss as what to do with any request or complaint.

The first receptionist tried to charge us random prices when i asked him to offer me a twin room instead of a double. He asked me to pay 49 euros extra for the other bed!!! When the booking was for a double/ twin room. Then he changed his tune and said that no extra charge was required. Then he apologised, said that actually he has made a mistake and asked me to pay extra again for a twin bed. At the end after me complaining about the appalling service and the state of the room he offered it without extra charge, When i went to pay however, the special rate that was offered to me according to another receptionist was not valid, cause the booking was made online. When I complained and I said you cant quote taxes for not being able to rectify your mistake as no payment was made online they made up some lies and had to change their mind 3 times, before offering me a discount on my next stay.

In a nutshell, the receptionists came across as thieves making up prices and rates as they go, inefficient and liars. The room itself was of appalling standards for 300 euros a night.

The only good thing was the location of the hotel.

Room Tip: do not choose room 603, 301 or 302 were smaller but ok

Dear client, thank you for your time sharing your experience. We do apologize for the misunderstanding. We were not able to change the price of your reservation. Your room has two balconies on the top floor with view. It is considered as an upscale room. rate was 230€ + extra bed 49€ for 3 people. The second night was 129€ for sing ccupancy. We apologize about receptionist behavior, he tried to find out a quick solution. Your hotel has computers connected to internet in the main areas. A renovation of the bathroom is scheduled. Your comment is precious. A curtain will be added to the bathtub. The artistic decor of your room includes a hand-made paintings on the walls of your room. We will refurbish the furnitures of your room. This room will soon have a new decoration & design in order to increase its value. There is a bathtub in your bathroom. There is also a separate private toilet in the room. A drain on the floor is a good idea when renewing this bathroom. Thank you for these ideas.Hotel pays a maintenance charge for free wifi supplied to our guests. However, very few clients might have particular settings or sofwares. We will ask our company to double check your room in any case. They will not be able to check your computer & therefore find out what's wrong in the settings. A confusion happened also with the two different bookings (1st & second night). We apologize we were not able to change the price of the room booked online, it was declared in the accounting. Looking forward to welcoming you soon again. Sincerely yours. Your customer service relationship.

I booked this with a friend as part of a Eurostar package deal - we weren't expecting amazing things for a 3* hotel but this was actually very good, and even better considering the price we paid.

The room was a little on the small size but perfectly adequate and clean, with comfortable bedding and a heater provided. The shower was good (hot water and pressure-wise), with lots of towels and complimentary toiletries provided. The receptionists were friendly, welcoming and very helpful with regard to our questions; they also allowed us to store our luggage with them on the morning of check out until our departure.

The location is pretty much unbeatable - you are within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees although I guess you could argue next to the hotel there is not the largest range of restaurants and shops so eat and get everything you need before heading back to the hotel.

The decor is slightly old-fashioned but quaint, pretty and regal-esque with lots of dark wood panelling and burgundy curtains.

All in all, highly recommended.

Dear client, we thank you for your comment. The location is truely great in between Champs-Elysees & the Eiffel tower, within distance to the river cruises, a big aquarium with sharks, museums, shops & cafés. Concerning the furniture, we started to refurbish them. It it a lot of work for the hotel cabinetmaker. We will be glad to welcome you again, your family & friends. meanwhile & in the meantime, best regards. Your customer service relationship.

Reading some of the reviews after I booked and because very worried. Originally choose the hotel based on the excellent location. However as soon as I got there the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help us in the hotel or around Paris. Would definitely go back.

What to expect from the Kleber hotel? It's in a great location close to the Arc d'Triomphe. It is a pretty hotel with quirky decor. We were originally given a room at the back of the hotel on the 6th floor which did not have a very attractive view and although the room was spotlessly clean and well decorated it was a bit small. After a request to move we were given a lovely bright room on the 1st floor facing the front of the hotel. The hotel was undergoing some renovation work but this did not particularly bother us. The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful. The express breakfast is a bit basic but you get a good cup of tea and the price is comparative to local cafes where you get a drink in a paper cup. The dearer breakfast is plentiful and fresh and attractively presented so worth a try for a little bit more money. Our room was spotlessly clean cleaned daily and although the furniture is an eclectic mix the bed was very comfortable. The bag drop was helpful on our last day when the eurostar was not until 8.00pm this saved us lugging our cases around with us all day. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: A front view is definitely better!

We stayed here for one night on a package with Eurostar. There were 6 in our party across 3 rooms. I choose the hotel for the location and its Parisian feel and wasn't disappointed with either. We arrived at 12 hoping to drop our bags off but our rooms were all ready so we checked in early which was a big bonus. The guy behind the desk was very helpful. I would definitely stay again. Great value.
