A scandinavian style hotel in Paris. Clean, well-organised, with complimentary coffee in the fashionable lobby, and unfailingly nice, enthusiastic multilingual staff. Perfect for young hipsters, as it is near the trendy Canal Saint-Martin, excellent for families, and a treat for business trips. The situation of the Hôtel is almost perfect. It's very close to the rail station, close to the canal, close to the METRO. Modern installation. The rooms are not big for a long stay but sufficient for a short stay.

We were there for 5 days over a weekend and used the hotel just for sleeping. Very welcoming staff on arrival and very helpful on departure offering us use of the restroom and free coffee on return for our luggage which they stored for us on the last day. The room was small but I understand most are in Paris. It was however very clean and contemporary and room service always cleaned it well.
Overall would recommend for all amenities including Gare de Nord station.

We stayed at this hotel with a weekend arrangement including breakfast. The best price / quality in Paris in a very nice area. Between the gares and the Marrai, all in walking distance. All of the staff were extremely friendly, Will definitely book this hotel the next time

We chose this hotel as we wanted to stay close to Haute Marais and Canal St. Martin - 9 Hotel Republique is the perfect location for this. Right next to the metro and in walking distance to Marais and Canal St. Martin which meant an endless array of cool restaurants and bars to choose from. We loved the beautifully designed lobby in which you really feel like at home and where there is free coffee and tea. The rooms were really well designed, modern and clean with lots of wood which we really liked. The beautiful wooden floors were a highlight which is hard to find in a hotel. The hotel personnel was really forthcoming and always available. Breakfast is served in the basement with an okay choice of products but a bit underwhelming for a 4 star hotel. I was disappointed to only find frozen bread and pastries - in a city like Paris with artisan bakeries all over it surely can't be hard to get a supplier for fresh bread. There was not a lot of local touches to the breakfast which would have made it nicer.
