“Very disappointing.”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We had booked and PAID the room in advance. But after reaching there we were told that they have NO FREE ROOMS. We were told that they would send us to another hotel. But as it was very late, they managed to give us a room in the same hotel. The room had NO KEY. It was only possible to open it by the master key. The minibar was already used. No connection of the TV and much more. Finally we were given a new room next day. This room was MUCH BETTER and spacious but already our start in Paris was spoiled :( And, their magnetic keys always have one or the other problem.
In the days of  hot summer the air conditioning didn't work. It just made a lot of noise noise but no cooling. We asked the staff to check this and the air conditioning worked that night and.. next day it was the same, which I believe was really bad on the hotel's part.
Yes, the hotel was at 20 mins walk from Eiffel tower which was a great advantage. Also, as I mentioned before, the room we got later was spacious and clean. Wifi was ok.
I just shared my experience about this hotel.. It's upto you if you wanna stay here or not... :)

I stayed with my wife for 9 days in august there and we were very pleased with the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are big for Paris standards and clean. We did not take breakfast, becouse the supermarket is 50m near the hotel wher we bought food and drinks. Location is great (100m to RER station, 2km to Eiffel Tower). We recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to explore Paris.

We stayed here when we went to Paris to see Eros Ramazzotti in concert at Bercy. It had good reviews online and included a hot, as well as a continental breakfast, in the price - unusual for most inexpensive Parisien hotels. The hotel was very good, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was of a good size, especially for Paris, and we slept well.

The nearest metro station was further away than we'd anticipated (we'd stayed at hotels with a metro on the doorstep before then and I have to admit it was so much more convenient) and much further out than we'd stayed before, which was close to The Louvre. However, as others have pointed out, it's not too far from the Eiffel Tower.

We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel but we would prefer to stay nearer a metro station in future.

Welcomed after a 30 minute walk from the bateaux parisiens to the auteuil tour Eiffel room was basic but clean and spacious comfortable beds. The staff were polite and helpfull with directions and general information. The hotels location is average ( reflected in the price) our only gripe was the breakfast which was poorly stocked and not what you'd expect from a 4 star parisien hotel. Choose for price and reasonable location for the river cruises and Eiffel Tower, otherwise I'm sure there would be better elsewhere. Hope this helps.

I normally dont give 5 out of 5's but the price of this 4 star hotel takes the cake! When you pay $110 per night for a 4 star hotel with a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower, you have to think there's a catch... No catch! Grocery store down stairs where you can get a picnic for 2 for 5 euro (a bottle of merlot, prosciutto, cheese and a baguette) theres a cafe on the corner that makes awesome almond croissants :)

My daughter and I travelled to Paris by Eurostar in August, and stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were shown straight to our room on arrival. The room was lovely and spacious. Bedding and Bathroom immaculate. The room had the added bonus of a free safe and good air conditioning. We had a very busy 4 days sight-seeing, so was nice to have a comfortable room to relax. Breakfast was continental, which was to be expected. There was however bacon sausage and scrambled egg, which was warm if you got from bottom of tray. We found plenty to eat each morning. Excellent location close to Metro, RER, Bus route 72 and a 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Supermarket and Restaurants close by.

Staff were very helpful, and spoke fluent english. There is a baggage facility where you can leave your cases if catching a late train home. We made use of this service as our train was not until 3.30pm and checkout was midday.

I would highly recommend this hotel, and we hope to visit again next year.

This hotel was perfect for our needs: an inexpensive, clean and safe home base in Paris. It’s just 1 block from the Avenue de Versailles (close to the Seine), where you will find many restaurants of all cuisines. There is a Metro station (Mirabeau on line 10) about 4 blocks from the hotel on Avenue de Versailles. We stayed there for 3 nights, and if we came back to Paris, would definitely stay there again! It is not fancy, but for $331.00 for the 3 nights (through an Expedia special), including all taxes and other charges, we felt it was good value for the money. Other “better” rooms there cost more. The money we saved versus our previous hotel choice paid for our guided tour to Versailles palace. The hotel is spotlessly clean and provided just what we needed: a comfortable queen-size bed, small refrigerator, fluffy towels, friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, and convenient location. It’s about a mile from the Eiffel Tower, and one day we walked back from the Tower. On our last day, we could leave our luggage there after checking out, so we didn’t have to haul it around as we toured Paris, and then picked it up on our way to the train station (Gare du L’Est) via the Mirabeau Metro station.

There is a grocery store a half block from the front door, and a bakery (Les Pettits Mitrons) maybe 2 blocks away on Avenue de Versailles. One of the first things we did after an early check in (at 11:30 a.m.!) was take all the provided items out of the small refrigerator and fill it with cans of diet coke, a bottle of wine and juice for the next day’s breakfast purchased at the supermarket, and pastries from the bakery. We had read the bad reviews on the food, and frankly, 14 Euros each for breakfast was outside of anything we would consider anyway, so we didn’t eat there. Instead, for our last two mornings, we ate at the bakery. For 3.5 Euros, you can get a hot drink and a standard pastry (e.g., a croissant). Other delectable pastries can be added at their cost. One evening we ate at the Les Ondes restaurant on Avenue de Versailles. Fair prices for Paris restaurants.

We mainly used the Metro (numbered routes) to get around Paris, and used 30 tickets. It is most economical to buy them in packages of 10 (a carnet) for about 13 Euros. There is no cost to transfer Metro lines as long as you transfer underground. There is also an express subway called the RER (lettered routes (A, B, C, D)), which is faster than the Metro for long routes because it does not stop at many locations or at many Metro stops. If you use it, make sure it stops where you want to go. Not sure, but the RER might require 2 Metro tickets. There’s an RER station several blocks from the hotel. You can use Metro tickets for the buses as well, and we discovered the 72 bus runs on Avenue de Versailles along the Seine, going right past the Eiffel Tower, and then through the city (the Louvre and far end of the Champs Elysees) and ends its route (all riders must depart or re-board and pay a new fare to continue) across from the magnificent Hotel de Ville and 1 block from the bridge to Notre Dame. It’s almost a tour bus on its own, and it runs after 10:00 p.m. but not as often as in the day. We used the 72 bus to get to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.
