“A Horrible Hotel”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2008

It is a horrible hotel and i don't recomand to anyone to stay there. First of all, the "superior room" it is a very, very, very SMALL room which has the bathroom inside the main room. This means that all the smells from the bathroom are coming to you all the time. Secondly, the menegers are a kind of thiefs, asking for a lot of money (230 euro) for the room I was telling you about. Because we didn't want to stay there, we changed the room, for a "De LUXE" one, which costed 290 euro. In the last room, the walls were dirty and the furniture very old. So, don't go there if you don't want to lose your money.

We stayed at this hotel and really loved it. Very French, charming, comfortable rooms many with a view of Eiffle tower. Nice buffet breakfast, and excellent location with great public transportation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would recommend.

This hotel was really lovely. The highlight was the friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable. The location was good, within walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and an easy 10 minute walk to two different Metro stations. The only downfall of this location is that it is in an expensive part of town, so no bargains are to be found in this neighborhood for meals or shopping. The hotel breakfast was nice and considering the prices in Paris in general, reasonably priced. Overall, I wouldn't consider this a bargain hotel, but would definitely recommend it to friends as a very nice place to stay.

The hotel is nice in that it is clean, but I think it is expensive considering there are A LOT of other hotels in Paris in much more interesting neighborhoods. The rooms are small and stuffy, the walls and doors are thin, the lifts are small and in effective, and the breakfast is nice but over priced. I wish I had stayed somewhere else. Keep looking...

  • Liked — The nice breakfast - but it was 22 euro a person!
  • Disliked — My smelly, stuffy, cramped, loud room

Been there with a friend. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. Chose their Romantic package, which includes breakfast, chocolate and a drink which was a soft drink for me.

The rooms were BIG and comfortable. No view. But everything else was very good. Hope to saty there again.

Thanks for everybody there.

If it wasn't for the Tour de France I would not have contiued my stay in this hotel. Please keep in mind I like to get what I pay for. Here are the positive things about this hotel....it is clean and the staff are somewhat friendly. Here is the bad.....the rooms are not soundproof (that is what I thought I was paying for), hopefully you are not lucky enough to get a room beside the electrical breaker where you hear every turn of a light switch and finally you can only lock your door by locking yourself in using your room key. This hotel was not my first choice. The only reason I stayed here was my original hotel, Hotel Francois was overbooked when I arrived and they kindly moved me to the Powers Hotel. Take what you want from this review. All I am saying is both the Powers hotel and Hotel Francois will not be getting any further business from this traveller.

It is an incredible place to come home to after sight-seeing and dining out in beautiful Paris. It feels so welcoming and so very French. I loved it and cannot wait to visit there again.
