“A GREAT HOTEL WITH KITCHEN...clean, freindly, perfect for what we needed.”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We ended up finding this when the hotel with kitchen we booked turned out to be a dump. We were moving from the US to Paris and needed a place to stay until we found an apartment. We ended up staying here for almost three months until our apartment was ready. It is one of the only hotels in Paris with a kitchen and we had our two kids with us. They gave us a studio room with a kitchen, living area and bedroom, nice updated baths and rooms. and we had a huge Patio. Our kids got the room across the hall and it worked out great. The staff was so helpful and fast. They also replaced our sofa and beds with new ones while we were there. They cleaned every day if we wanted and were so helpful. When we were looking for a new hotel I emailed the manager, told her our dates and budget and she emailed me right back that they could accomodate. They lowered the rates for us and threw in breakfast after we requested it since we were staying there so long. Living in a hotel for almost three months with kids was not easy, but they made it as easy as it could be. I could even dry laundry out on the terrace since laundry is super expensive to do in Paris. The staff were friendly and ready to help us with anything we needed. So grateful we found this place. The location...we liked it since we were near the Embassy which we could use and we found grocery stores and a nearby outdoor market to get fresh foods, and it was near the metro and buses, quiet at night, upscale area.

Last time I was in paris I was so disappointed with our hotel chosen and recommended by travel agent i cried! They gave us a free upgrade which was the same small outdated room on a higher floor. That was ten years ago. This time in paris we are loving residence du Roy which I booked myself after reading reviews on trip Advisor and booking.com. We are a family of four children aged 8 and 4. The suite I booked overlooks the gardens and YSL offices. There is no traffic noise. The rooms are large and spacious compared to others I have seen. AC is fabulous. Beds are fabulous. It may not have a restaurant but we are in paris - go explore. Everything is fabulous. The staff at the front desk are so attentive and offer wonderful advise on shopping, food, restaurants even hairdressers and areas to kick a footy or go jogging. What ever you need they can help. The location is amazing 10 mins to Eiffel Tower, 10mins down the champs élysées to the arc de triumphe. I wou,d recommend this to everyone!

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view. The vines and views are amazing. Love the French doors you can open up.

We traveled with our two small children and booked the one-bedroom suite. It was very spacious and had a sliding door to block sight and (most) sound from the living room area where the kids slept. We also had a small balcony. The bathroom was also spacious, and had a tub and very generous toiletries. There were also bathrobes for the adults. Only drawback in the floorplan: toilet was by the front door, so had to tiptoe there later in the evening past sleeping kids (but this was a very minor thing).

Reception staff helped with all our requests in a friendly and prompt manner. The location of the hotel was very good, with metro stations nearby, and e.g. Champs-Elysees a short walk away. The river is only down the block. The street itself was very quiet and we heard absolutely no noise at night times, despite facing the street.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel, nor did we purchase the use of the kitchen connected to the room, so I cannot comment on those.

All in all we were very pleased with our stay and the kids also loved the room!

Myself , husband and two teenage children just returned back from our stay at this hotel. Hotel is the best location, 10 min walk out the front door to the left is the Seine River and less then 10 mins out to the right is Champs Elysse. We were very close to everything, metro, shops, restaurants , majority of the sights within walking distance, not more then a 20 min walk, We ofcourse took the Quad room, I was exceptional pleased at the size of the room. It appears smaller on the website. very large and roomy, 2 bathrooms, table to eat at for 4, large living area, . The bedroom bed was very comfortable, actually to the point my husband asked if I took down the name of the mattress. The hotels complimentary breakfast was very satisfying, large selection and delicious breads and meats. The staff were very attentive. We just had wished after our 9 hr overnight flight we could have gotten into our room when we arrived . So we had breakfast and walked around Paris a bit. We were in the room by noon!!!
