My husband and I had a hard time finding a full-service hotel with a spacious floor plan in a reasonable price range for our 9 day stay in Paris. We booked the Pullman Paris Montparnasse feeling hesitant, especialy about the location. With two metro stations very close by, we soon became experts and never needed the on and off bus to get around. The metro took us everywhere we wanted to go, and it was very simple to manouver. The concierge and front desk were extremely well staffed and answered each of our questions thoroughly. My husband and I have traveled extensively, and rarely have we encountered a concierge staff so knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. Our room on the 23rd floor gave us a fantastic view, and we very much enjoyed the spaciousness of the floor plan and the comfort of the bed. Each day when we returned from sightseeing, we were very glad to be coming "home:" to the Pullman Montparnasse.

Room Tip: There is renovation going on at the present. Even with space between floors, some construction nois...

Stayed 4 nights. First time in Paris, sso we didn't have anything to compare to. While checking in we were told that our room had a queen bed and that no kings were available. After verifying we booked a deluxe room, a king suddenly became available. Room was perfect with exception of mini-fridge didnt work. We were on 24th floor with awesome view. Room adjoined to neighboring room and we could here TV and phone calls of neighbor. Had to bang on wall one night at midnight to stop super loud phone conversation. Staff at bar seemed like they couldn't care less if we were satisfied with service. bellman never once greeted us or said one word the entire stay. Concierge was very helpful on several occasions. Breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of variety. Location was good with metro station close by and small grocery right next door. This is really a business hotel with a conference center attached to the lobby. Pretty sterile atmosphere. If you want romantic this is not your place. Overall we give this a 3.5. Wouldn't stay here again but could recommend for business traveler.

We stayed in Pullman, Paris Montparnasse for 3 nights. I was upgraded and my review is on that basis.

Pros:

1. Location - very close to both metro as well as railway station. The airport shuttle also leaves close to the hotel. Places of interest are close by.
2. Rooms - big and clean with free wifi. Comfortable bed.
3. Linguistic ability - many in the staff spoke English.
4. Nice garden - there was a nice little garden on the 2nd floor complete with full grown trees, next to the restaurant, which made you feel surprisingly close to nature.

Cons:

1. Overpriced - far too expensive for the facilities or, rather, the lack of them.
2. No amenities in the room - There was no tea/ coffee machine in the room. No complimentary bottles of water. Every single item in the mini bar had to be paid for. Unaccerptable for a 4 star hotel, particularly with an upgraded room.
3. Confusing floor plan - the directions to the room from the lift was confusing and I took quite sometime to understand the same.
4. Poor breakfast service - U have to be early for breakfast, else you will have to wait quite a while for the refills. Also lack of a live counter inside the restaurant meant I had to wait for 15-20 mins each day I asked for an omlette as the same had to be brought from the kitchen.
5 Too many rooms for its own good - The porters were not to been seen when we checked in. We had to carry the luggage from the road outside the hotel to the reception. An item left with the reception to be sent to the room was not done and a reminder was required.

Overall an average experience. I would recommend it only if room size and location is more important than price or service.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor for better views

It's my first time in Paris and I'm staying here. The room is pretty good size compared to Paris standards. There are many good food spots near by and it is literally down the street from the train station. I found the concierge most helpful and they have a few freebies like an small American style breakfast and printing service. My only complaint is the construction (which started at freaking 4am). Good thing I had serious jet lag and was already awake or I would've been pissed. I would consider staying again. Overall, nice!

The room is correct, really. But there are lot of small problems that are not acceptable for a 4-stars hotel.
This begins by the three front doors in the street. Two of them are permanently closed. Strange...
The hall is very noisy. You would think to be in a railway station rather than an hotel. Same thing at Justine's restaurant for the breakfast. The light in my bathroom was broken. Curious for such an expensive hotel... The room service ask you to pay cash your dinner in your room because when you do not give a print of your Visa at the desk... Stop it please ! Where are we? I can understand that an hotel does not trust their clients but in a 4-stars this should never happen.

This hotel was one of two hotels booked as part of a Rhone cruise package. Whilst the room was comfortable, we found the hotel lobby and bar area unwelcoming and wouldn't have wanted to spend any time there. Some of the lifts weren't working and the ones that were, stopped at every floor until we were packed like sardines! Took us nearly 30 mins to get from 11th floor! One good point was that the Concierge was helpful to us. Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again but can see its in a good location for business travellers.

Walking distance to Eiffel!
Free wifi. Great lobby, very good hallways, clean, outstanding view from the room windows.
Helpful reception/concierge, and the breakfast-- Ooolalah! so bounty!
Expensive, yet worth for everything you need. Besides, everything around Paris is expensive, so, it's just having the comfort and relaxation that you can get from the value of your money.
It is also a plus if you're heading to the airport since there is a shuttle of Air France or KLM in front of the Hotel and you can just pay you tickets at the concierge.
