Ibis looks like re-did its hotels into a minimalist scheme but i think they took it too far. No more carpets (replaced with laminate flooring), no more art on the walls, just a sad looking - otherwise clean - room. I felt like we were moving and we were still waiting for our stuff to arrive. not a comfortable stay because we did not feel cozy. No amenities provided in the room price whatsoever. You do not have a coffee maker in the room, or anything else but the TV and nothing to watch because channels are dubbed in french and mostly political talk shows. No options for pay-per-view or anything like that. To store your luggage after check out there is a 2-4 Euro fee, as is if you want anything from their “bar” (a sort of extension of the checkin counter, nothing that would give you the feel of a bar where you can hang out at nights) Tea is 2 Euro for instance. Breakfast buffet is 9 Euro per person each day, and gone is the Ibis buffet i remembered from years ago. You get croissants, yogurt and cereal, coffee, OJ, butter, ham, jam, and a weird omelet with potatoes cut into small pieces. Between 10-12 you get the option for a “late breakfast” which is 5 Euro but only consists of croissants, coffee and OJ i think. It is not cheap nor expensive considering that restaurants charge you 7-12 Euro for an omelet. I would recommend this hotel only for those not looking for any comfort. It is clean, i felt safe, somewhat cheap for Paris. NOTE: Hotel DOES NOT have a restaurant.
